uumm kiribati is a Micronesian, they are not polynesian....uuumm the dancing skirt or wateva the tokelauans are wearing, that is originally from Nanumaga an a small island from Tuvalu..

historically kiribati people are mixed micronesian, polynesian and melanesian.
