  • Now we know where to stick those corn husks

  • I love Ana x

  • its a good thing to be able to have an unprejudiced environment to party and have collage fun but it is also a sad thing. That gay/lesbiens need their own frat because. Why wouldn't they be able to join a regular frat just because there gay? What the big deal, you don't have to f*ck them. I know some gay guys and they are a blast. They would be a great addition to the frat. Spontaneous, fun and social guys who know how to have a good time and they party better than some of my straight friends.

  • The problem is gay men are promiscuous as FUCK! All my gay friends fuck eachother and fuck strangers and find people on grinder to fuck unprotected and rough as hell. A gay frat will just be one massive endless orgy.

  • @brindabellaoffroad and straight guys aren't??? Straight frat guys are the same way, they'd fuck someone different every night if they had the chance! It's a young college male thing, not a sexual orientation thing

  • @brindabellaoffroad sounds alot like a straight frat house believe me i'm gay every gay guy is different for example i think straight or gay it doesn't matter bc the men who belong to frat house are typically pigs and man whores just like u

  • Iowa is so hypocritical...maybe a few cities are okay with differences, but look at the rest of Iowa...if someone says the word "gay" you get a flabbergasted look and sound like this.."woah..what?" ..so the gay marriage thing is a joke...a lawful joke ...and how Iowa was the first state to rapidly choose Obama ,hypocrites ,their main issue was towards his race..to make history, rather than what he was going to bring to the table to help the u.s.

  • There's a huge difference between Iowa State and University of Iowa! If you shorten University of Iowa you say UI and if you want to shorten Iowa State you just say Iowa!

  • Gamma Alpha Psi. G.A.Y. lol jkjk but I wouldn't wanna visit that frat

  • I bet that there is gonna have lub all over the place!!!!!!!

  • It's OWN fraternity. isn't it great? It's gonna be like segregation, but here its a positive thing cause they're supposedly being accepted by setting up different boundaries... Dont' disagree with gays, or you're a phobe..

  • @ZMorpheus um in case u haven't noticed straight guys are different than gay guys so to have a frat house where u are surrounded by ppl just like u is a positive thing sure they will be pigs but then again even straight guys in frat houses are pigs btw ur whole disagree with a gay ur a phobe thing is flawed

  • @jackthayer fine. i respect ur opinion regardless.

  • I live in Dubuque and go to the catholic college across town from University of Iowa. It's hard to find students at Loras that are religious conservative. It's even rarer to hear anything homophobic unless its from one or two of the religious administration at Loras. It not really conservative area of Iowa in my experience.

  • They probobly don't have lesbian sororities because gays aren't accepted as much but everybody loves lesbians ;D

  • Lesbian sorority initiation...

  • Lesbian sorority... Aren't there a porn series (or several) with that theme?

  • this whole idea is based on the idea that some of these frats even WANT to be known as openly bisexual or gay or lesbian if they are seen to be registered in that place...

  • Oh my god. There will be SO MUCH DRAMA in that frat.

  • This is great news. I lived in Iowa City twice, for a total of 9 years. Iowa City is a really progressive city. The is definitely a progressive strain that exists in Iowa -- I Iowa brought gay marriage to the Midwest.

  • @heylookachannel Thats what I always though. Any organization that requires you to dress alike (for any occasion) and call somebody "big brother" is gay to me.

  • I agree with ana. I also dying to hear about lesbian sororities. I can't wait to see videos of lesbian sorority in action. Graphic, writhing "action".

  • Lesbian Sorority !?

I feel so juvenile, but really Anna?

Just ask Cenk or any of the other guys and they can show you where to find "info" on them on the internet.

  • The KOK brotherhood

  • wouldn't be funny if a straight guy tried to get that frat? XD

  • Goddamn faggots. Not much more to say.

  • @sobeboyzz

goddamn breeders. not much here to say either

  • Gays can be douchebags too.

  • "Gay Frat".

Isn't that term kind of redundant.

  • The amount of sex going on in that frat house will be a universe altering situation.

  • So, can I make a straight only frat club? Oh wait no because that'd be discriminating against gay people....unless its the gay people discriminating. That's totally ok.

  • 4:20

  • I thought it was God's job to punish people for their sins- not Christians. Leave em alone.

  • i wonder if they're going to make a big fuss if a straight or right wing christian wants to join, because they'll be doing the same thing as that other frat that wouldn't allow gays. let's hope they wont be hypocritical.

  • @SanguineBullet667 Did you watch the video? It's not a gay only frat.

  • @jsee12953 It's a progressive one though, and if they deny a right wing christian they have to allow them.

  • @SanguineBullet667 As if a right winger is seriously going to want to join??! If they applied they would only be doing so to cause problems, and I'd hope they'd say yes and allow him in, in which case he'd probably back out of course.

  • @jsee12953 Fuck you, hating piece of garbage.

  • Self imposed segregation....

  • hahaha how many dicks u gota suck to get in ??

  • @killpath The same amount of priests you have to be molested by to get into a catholic frat.

  • As an Iowan, I'm a bit torn on this. Normally I'd be like "YA WOO DEMOCRACY GREAT JOB GUYS!", but this could actually hurt people wanting to transfer to a college or any college in general located in Iowa. That's not what we need...we need the economic boost of that happening really badly. I fear that there will be a little economic fallout simply because of the fact that there's still a TON of homophobia in the world, are my fears warranted?

  • Actually, I'm surprised it hasn't happened earlier. After all, we've had gay marriage in Iowa for several years now. The only reason Vander-douche got as many ppl to listen to him as he did was because he went around to all the elderly and small town ppl and got them all to turn out to vote, but the Democrats didn't do the same thing with their base. My parents' gen, yeah they're either homophobes or gay themselves. Don't even talk about it to my grandparents' gen.

  • @SadisticSenpai61 But it was hilarious to see the look on my Mom's face when I used Baptist principles to point out why we shouldn't be legislating against gay marriage. She was so scandalized.

  • Phi fi fo fum it's a Jack and the Beanstalk frat ^___^ It should so have a house on stilts that look like vines. Am I the only one who thought that from the word Phi? XD

  • I see lots of evidence of lesbian sororities on youporn

  • if you support gay people then you support gay people dying of aids. However, actually I care more about them by not supporting them.

  • homosexual sex without condoms will always result in some sort of std, I mean think about it, you get shit in your dick hole, then they get shit and a semen mix in your mouth. But if two people were virgins, and got married then had sex, it would be statistically impossible to get an std as long as you keep the dick and vagina together. It's just common sense.

  • @jwdesign336 Bwwhhaaa o.O by that logic a large proportion of the public would have STDs anal is not only for gays. What once someone decides they are homosexual there large intentional track become ridden with viruses ... Your common sense holds no medical backing I only even commented on this because the Ignorance meter pulled a Chernobyl.

  • 4:20 lol. im smoking weed. mind blown.

  • All me experienxe tells me that human race is seemingly inherinly bisexual. In terms of emotions and feelings that it. Ofcourse majority is always going to straight, but being straight doesnt mean youre a closed book (in terms of feelings).

Also, things like this beg the question: Why the heck was there ever any problem to begin with? Is fear and prejudice that easy scapegoat to grab unto :P

  • University of Minnesota has a gay fraternity that is actually a branch of a national fraternity, and its been there for years.

  • Of course I'm for acceptance of gays, viewing them not for their sexuality solely but as humans who happen to be of a different sexuality to my own and so forth, but can't an argument be made that the existance of a "Gay" fraternity only strengthens the stereotype that gays are different from others, rather than reflecting indifference to sexuality as the ultimate outcome?

  • i have a feeling their parties are going to be some major sausage fests, just saying.

  • @tarnishedmercury Because we all know there's no such thing as gay women.......

  • @jsee12953 Because gay women will want to party with straight guys amirite? It would still be a sausage fest. How do you not get this?

  • @tarnishedmercury What, friends don't have each other over for parties? You're only allowed to invite people you want to screw?

  • I don't agree with what Gigaboost said but someone marked his/her comment as spam, pretty pathetic.

  • Finally a frat were a girl could leave her drink ,go to the bathroom and NOT get rophied XD

  • @DentistD1G Or they do, but the guy apologizes and say, "I thought it was the drink of the delicious bear over there."

  • Why are they seperating the straights and gays. Not a sign of acceptance, its a sign of tolerance but not acceptance. Once their accepted they would mix into heterosexual culture.

  • Hmm...........

  • Many men are also dying to hear about lesbian sororities. I think there have been a few naked documentaries already made about them though.

  • hey that frat is at my school too =D CSULB in Long Beach,CA

  • Oh, wow... people take YouTube commentary way too seriously.

  • Do they give fruit baskets for initiation? :)

  • Ana, lesbian sororities???? um, isn't that like every sorority every made? don't girls experiment during college, hence the point of a sorority?

  • I'm highly curious about how this frat enforce the bros before hoes policy

  • @meki4life hoes are the bros?

  • Wait... you mean to tell me that a place where guys get drunk then rape each other was already considered straight?! WTF?!

  • Organised stupidity's now available in gay.

  • Why cum out. Gay please stop sharing this info keep it to your self. Ok. There some people who don't want to hear about gay. All the time. Thank

  • @AbdulNasirkonopka why wouldn't we wanna hear about them? what's wrong with hearing about gays? does it hurt your ears?

  • @defyingcredentials lol @(^_^)@

  • @AbdulNasirkonopka

funny, straight people like you blast your sexual lives to everyone (outside, tv, movies, books, ect), but the mere mention of one gay person's life that's not serious bussiness sends you into a tissy fit. Grow up and realized that thew little fansty world you live in is false.

  • @AbdulNasirkonopka nobody cares about what you wanna hear. Im trans and I encourage everyone to troll this guy right here coming out no matter what your sexuality is.remember guys its this idiot right here @AbdulNasirkonopka <-----

  • @AbdulNasirkonopka Alright fair enough. I'll stop talking about it as soon as I don't have to hear about being straight all day every day. This includes ads plastered everywhere, pretty much everything on tv, couples in public, etc......... see how stupid what you said is yet? ;)

  • It's a sausage fest

  • Do fraternities reject gays?

  • @NguBriYen My brother and sister are/were both in the Greek system at Berkeley. They had gay & lesbian people in their frat/sorority... two of the girls in my sister's sorority are even dating. That said, there were only 2 or 3 gay people in each organization and I can see why some gay guys - and lesbians for that matter - might be interested in having their own space. Really not sure about the policy at more conservative schools but my sister told me when people come out they get bullied a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • @Yamikaiba123 Yeah, it's allll about the sexual jollies. What's love got to do, got to do with it? >_>

  • @jsee12953 Ok maybe my joke was extremely vague. I was saying the only liberty person A's sexuality is infringing upon is person B's ability to have a sexual relationship with person A. Cuz A can't satisfy B since B isn't gay.

I'm retarded for thinking anyone would get that- I'll just remove it.

  • @Yamikaiba123 I think I see what you were trying to say. Very poor wording though

  • FABULOUS!!!

  • we're being more accepting, by having separate but equal fraternities... wait... where have i heard that before?

  • that's my school!

  • DID the woman say "jenck"?

  • @Coffeeisnecessary It's the name of one of the co-hosts on the main Young Turks show.

  • @AlexSongDoesCovers That's admittedly a funny-sounding name! Is Jenck Jewish, or his he just joyous when he joined the Jeff Jennings jenture? Jolly Jenck is Jewish!

  • @Coffeeisnecessary It's spelled Cenk. It's Turkish. You know, this show is called the Young Turks...

  • @AlexSongDoesCovers Oh yes! I'm studying the Ottoman Turks of the 1920s! Amazing how a predominantly Muslim country turned secular after WWI caused Germany to split its lands!

  • GREAT STORY

  • You don't have to be gay to be in the fraternity, right? At my school, we have fraternities such as an Asian fraternity, a hispanic fraternity, and I know people of all ethnicities who join them.

  • hi there; I am not american; I've seen these fraternities in movies;

what the hell are they and how do they work? :|

  • Positive discrimination.

    It's still discrimination.

  • How about a white only fraternity? A black only fraternity? What? They're on the same level.

  • "Gay frat" is redundant.

  • What do I think about a gay only frat?

The same thing I'd think about a "straight only frat".

    1. It is inherently discriminatory by its nature, however in this case thats seen as ok because its discriminating in favour of gay people.

    2. How the hell do they determine the applicants sexual orientation?

    3. What happens if someone later reveals that they are not gay?

Just because gay people are seen as the underdogs doesn't make discrimination ok (these are dangerous precedents).

  • Jayar is right, this building will be a target, may increase hostility towards gay students and many gay individuals may not like being "out" in such an conspicuous fashion.

I don't think Ana should tell people to come out and be open, I think thats their choice as to who they want to tell and how open they want to be about it.

  • @Wolfau5

serious business is fucking serious business, calm the fuck down

  • @BalooDumptruck I am calm, and would you say "calm down" if someone was pissed at a fraternity that openly discriminated against gays?

  • @Wolfau5

why would a gay gay go to a all straight frat? That's like a hardcore lesbian going to a all heterosexual men frat party, doesn't compute and it's a waste of time.

  • @BalooDumptruck I'm sure it doesn't make sense... to you.

Why would a gay person go to an all straight frat... because of price, availability of housing, location (ie close to classes) and all the other reasons people join frats (community, friends, status, parties, perks). They may also be pressured to join by a parent or friend.

  • @Wolfau5

You don't need to go to a frat to do that, and if you're being pressured to join it, then fuck those people and do what you want.

  • @BalooDumptruck So you would have no problem with a Frat discriminating against people based on ethnicity, religion or discriminating against gay people?

If you don't thats fine, some people object to heavy handed anti-discrimination laws, I just want you to be consistent (ie don't support a "gay frat" if you wouldn't support a "straight only frat").

  • Ewwwwwwwwwwww.that is all

  • That's great and all, but it is still IOWA

  • Ana, dont ever go to the mid-west or south. i would hate for your view of racism to change

  • XY house

  • I can only imagine what hazing constitutes in this fraternity.

  • @EidolonOfLogic No, you dont have to just imagine it, theres plenty of material on the net that will show you EXACTLY what it involves if your into that stuff :P

  • @neverfearchrisishere I am, actually. ;-)

  • Christian frats, Jewish frats, academic frats. Now a gay frat. I see no problem. I'm in favor.

  • Why not fraterneties that are accepting of all people. Homosexuals and Heterosexuals working and bonding with each other.

  • @Chaoitcme That's what this frat is. It's a gay frat but hetrosexuals are accepted too should they want to join.

  • @politico92 That is good and that is how it should be.

  • Here we go again, normalizing everything......

As long I don't see fucking gay pride bullshit in my face 24/7, this shouldn't be an issue.

  • @MrHav1k Normalizing things? What's not normal? People (with any and every kind of sexuality) have sex all the time. So yeah orgies are normal in any circumstance...

  • @MrHav1k

    wow, just wow

  • As if heterosexual frats don't have orgies >.>

  • This is going to be a house of sex. This is a really bad idea.

  • @SezSays Bhahahaha! Because every frat up until now has had a zero tolerance policy on sex in their houses....

  • @jsee12953 I dont think you quite understand what I mean. Homosexual environments are notorious for being 'hook-up areas'. Gay bars, clubs, out-reach programs etc. Because its such a rare experience for gay people to be in a room full of other gay people, you tend to have everyone hooking up with everyone else. The possibilities suddenly go from "dont even think about it" to "i can have ANYONE?!" It would become known for its sex. Its just the way everything gay-oriented ends up.

  • So they're going to be having orgies in the goddamn house?

What the fuck ever. Sounds sick, but its their right.

  • @MrHav1k From what I know, there's orgies going on in heterosexual frat houses too..... Even very often :/

  • @MsRey00

You know nothing. That's a misconception.

  • @MrHav1k Just like that one of gay people having sex all the time and everywhere ^ ^

  • Yes, Iowa is a very conservative state but the University of Iowa is located in a very liberal city.

EVERY sorority is a lesbian sorority---in a guy's mind anyway.

  • @GigaBoost Why would a straight guy want to join a gay frat?

  • @GigaBoost beat me to it.

if you're gay, u can get away with anything lately

  • @GigaBoost okay so um you do realize that thats like saying why can a guy join a sorority

  • @TheDMD42396 A straight guy trying to join a gay frat is not like a guy joining a sorority. Frats are for guys. It does not matter what sexuality a guy has. A guy is a guy no matter what.

  • @Chaoitcme well why is having a group for only girls any different from having a group just for Gay guys

  • @GigaBoost Well...heterosexuals have never been bullied to the point of suicide because of their sexuality. Heterosexuals aren't systematically discriminated against. No one has ever been kicked out of their home by their parents for being straight. A lot of gay people in college have only just come out of the closet, so I see no problem with them wanting to surround themselves with people who are/have gone through a similar situation, and be around people they know for a fact are allies.

  • @cronos225 Lol that fraternity is going to be nothing but a sex dungeon. ROFL I want to join!!!! ps. I'm a girl too.

  • Comment removed

  • @GigaBoost, its not better or worst, gay fraternities are just more needed than another straight fraternity. forget the better or worst argument. im not sure anyone said they are better or worst

  • @GigaBoost because the world makes no sense duh

  • @GigaBoost They're not, but the frat in this story does not exclude heterosexuals. It is explicitly stated that progressive men (who aren't necessarily gay) are accepted.

  • @EskiltheWanderer Research, it makes you win. :)

  • @GigaBoost theyre better if youre gay cuz you have a chance with every person in the house. in a hetero house, you have no shot with people who live there and have to import them. money on parties, etc.

  • @GigaBoost They're not excluding heterosexuals though

  • @GigaBoost Because after the homosexuals are excluded, they have their own to go to. What heterosexual males would join a homosexual fraternity?

  • @GigaBoost because as a straight man you can join any fraternity you want, and it doesn't work the other way around. we aren't discriminated against and gay men are. as chris rock said, "sometimes the people with the most shit get to say the least shit, and the people with the least shit get to say the most shit." it's life dude are you seriously upset because you can't join a gay frat? i didn't think so.

  • @GigaBoost Dude, did you or any of the 55 people that gave this comment a thumbs up actually watch the video? The frat doesn't just accept "homosexuals" (a dated and rather homophobic term when used colloquially) they also accept "progressives," code in this case for allies i.e. people who actually accept and support gay people and even enjoy socializing with them. Crazy! I can't believe this comment got so many votes when this was addressed in the goddamn video - right around 2:30, BTW.

  • @lifefullofwords how is homosexual a homophobic term? is heterosexual a hateful term? obviously not

  • @MrStapelz Heterosexual isn't a hateful term because there are no negative connotation attached to it and straight people do not (as far as I know) find it offensive. At the point, the word homosexual is mostly used by homophobic people. For example, the religious right frequently refers to gay men (and sometimes lesbians) as "homosexuals." In my experience, it's not even a word that gay people use amongst themselves jokingly, honestly, it's that loaded at this point due to political battles.

  • @lifefullofwords ITs a technical term. Nothing good or bad about it.

  • @lifefullofwords homosexual is literally what you are if you're gay. I'm chinese and if someone calls me chinese i would not care because that is literally what i am. man people who dislike you will use whatever name to talk shit, no matter what you call your self. Gays use to prefer queer then that became not OK so then it's gay but that's no good neither. people who hate you have bullied you so much and pushed so hard that now you're own scientific term is offensive. grow some balls

  • @MultiUsername45 First of all, I'm a woman so I don't have balls and don't want them. Second of all, I don't usually talk about my sexuality to assholes on Youtube but yes, I am gay. I was frequently bullied while growing up because i was awkward, nerdy, and wore weird glasses but never over being gay because nobody ever guessed, not even me. Instead, I lived in miserable denial for about 10 years until I went off to college. I'm sure th homophobic environment I was in at the time played a role.

  • @MultiUsername45 Cont. from last comment: My point is that homophobic language - like using "homosexual" in a pejorative sense, like the original poster did - is harmful not just to the person that it gets used on but to every gay person out there who finds it more and more difficult to accept themselves the more of that shit they are exposed to. You're free to call gay people homosexual if you like but understand that it's offensive to gay people with a variety of experiences for a good reason.

  • @lifefullofwords you dont think i get picked on? almost every day douchebag assholes come to me and say "chinese people have small dick" or "chinese people are pussies" and with the rise to power with China republicans will go on TV and talk shit 24/7 using the term "Chinese" but ill never be ashamed to be call Chinese because that is literally what i am, by definition. same thing for the muslims. politicians always go on TV and say muslims are evil but do they go and choose a different name? no

  • @MultiUsername45 Um, where the fuck did I say you've never been picked on for being Chinese? Sadly, every kid that's different gets bullied. The important difference between "Chinese" and "homosexual" is that many gay people find "homosexual" to be an offensive word since it's usually used in a pejorative sense these days and do not themselves use the word. The same is not true for "Chinese." Use the word all you want but you don't get to decide whether or not you offend people.

  • @lifefullofwords i assumed that you're gay if you're not i don't care

  • @lifefullofwords

how the hell is "homosexuals" an anti-gay term?

  • @Luminareo I've already explained this so many times so I'm going to be as brief as possible because I'm bored by ignorant straight people. Homosexual is somewhat offensive when used in colloquial dialogue because at this point it's mostly used by homophobes & the religious right. Gay people not only use other labels, they don't even use the word amongst themselves. You are free to use the word homosexual to describe gay people but you don't get to decide whether or not LGBT people are offended.

  • @lifefullofwords

You have to explain it so many times because it's completely illogical. Completely. Don't make your movement sound this stupid. Pick your battles. By your logic, any word FOX uses should be banned.

So if I took offense to the term, "male", should you stop using the term? No. Because it's a useful, and not inherently offensive piece of vocabulary. Just like homosexual. If you or anyone else takes offense, it's not reasonable to ask me to stop just for that reason.

  • @Luminareo Uh, no, it is not completely illogical that gay people would get to decide what they do and do not want to be called and it's not illogical that they would find a loaded term that is very nearly the sole purview at this point of homophobes offensive. Male is not offensive because it's not a pejorative aimed at a discriminated against minority group. If you are still having trouble understanding these extremely simple concepts then I can't help you so don't bother commenting again.

  • @lifefullofwords

That's not the right attitude. I aim to understand and to be understood.

You essentially just said "homsexual is a pejorative because it's a pejorative". You can't differentiate my example (male) using that kind of loop-logic.

You can decide what you're called to a reasonable degree. And a wider grey area is afforded on sore issues like sexuality. But if the only reason you're offended is because the wrong people are using certain words, your problem isn't with words.

  • @Luminareo I'll take your claim that you want to understand at face value and try to explain again. You're right that discriminated against minority groups don't get to decide which terms are and are not offensive in a certain sense. This tends instead to be determined by how the word is used by the majority group that is not discriminated against. In the case of the word homosexual, it is used colloquially mostly in a homophobic way so naturally gay people are offended. Sorry if I was rude.

  • @GigaBoost Frats choose people based on who fits in with their crowd. ALL Frats exclude people. Otherwise, being in a frat wouldn't mean anything. I don't see anything with having a fraternity only for gay people, but this fraternity does NOT exclude heterosexuals. It said Gay, Bisexual, and Progressive men, you can be straight and be progressive.

  • @GigaBoost who needs to be better, its about equality man... Straights have their frats so gays made them one too. Equal. Men and womens bathrooms are separated but that doesnt mean they arent equal.

  • @GigaBoost it's not, but that's the point of frats and soros: to lump similar groups of people and exclude people who don't fit in.
