the book is at some parts very different from the movie but both is equally beautiful and magical and romantic...both are my favs.... infact they top the list...A MUST WATCH AND A MUST READ:-);-)
this movie is so romantic and wonderful :) matthew macfayden is a wonderful mr. darcy. his voice, mannerisms, appearance, everything about him makes him the prefect mr. darcy.
Matthew Macfayden is for me the best Mr. Darcy ever, he was so close to the character depicted by Jane Austen, i adore him for his strong presence, his eyes are so expressive, his vulnerability when he did confess his love to Lizzy twice and he is amasing when he dares smile and laugh, breathtaking actor and a so wonderful voice too, Keira was good too !! thank you for creating these videos, it's now my best movie ever, many thanks to Joe Wright, a great work and an unforgettable adaptation.
This is my favorite version of Pride and Prejudice. Symbiotic pairing, rich background and beautiful played music, makes me weak in the knees. tks for the this vidoe.
I love this movie! Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen have wonderful chemistry on screen! I also liked the scenes with Lizzie and Mr. Wiccam. They were very well done, considering that they're boyfriend and girlfriend in real life. =)
O....i have't never seen the last part in your video, about starting from 9:00... how can you find it ? it missed this stunning part before! thanks you for your uploading !! good jobs! .....
Mrs Darcy... Mrs Darcy... Mrs Darcy... Mrs Darcy... Mrs Darcy....... I am dizzy!!!
Can anyone make out the last words Lydia says to Elizabeth at the table...right after she tells Elizabeth to shush...something more about Mr. Darcy...just can't understand it...I've seen the movie tons of time, lol...Thanks!
@kingtothis : Oh how nice of you to send me that reply! Once you told me what it was, I played it back & thought..Ofcourse! Funny how lucid things become once someone tells you the answer. haha. I am the type that wants an "explantion" of every little nuance of a movie & it makes my husband nuts. Still wondering why she is in the same outfit at the end as in the previous scene if the latter is supposeed to be after their wedding...see what I mean...I drive MYSELF nuts too! Thanks so much, King.
I actually thought that Mr. Bingley and Jane were perfect for eachother. He's handsome, but I can't get over the fact that he was the mean dude in penelope. p.s. Lady Catherine is a biotch. lol
i do not know how many times i have watched these, it just clame me and gaves me sense of joy. I watch it when i have bad day or bad time, it makes me to forget about my porblems.
This is such an awful version, but this Darcy is a bit softer than Firth in the BBC version, which works a bit better. But this movie was just a chick flick...they didn't even get into Austen's main point of the book, which was a critique on society.
thanks! i have 2 read this book 4 a report and i was so confused as to the story line and who was talking and all of that! this really helped out a lot! thanks!
uh sorry i dont think we did. but you probably recognize my name because its the name of a music company lol :) oh and sorry i took so long to respond. I hardly ever get on youtube anymore :(
This is nice; I'm a big Jane Austin fan, thanks! Something that has always amazed me is that apparently Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy didn't have much of a "courtship", even by their contemporary standards, much less so today. They couldn't possibly have known each other very well! [I know it's a fictional story, but I have to wonder whether this was typical for some couples of their day.........probably so!]
When she is looking at the house her smile is like: "Dear Lord, I could be the mistress of this house!" But you will be dear Lizzy, and also the mistress of Mr. Darcy's hearth... I absolutely adore this film!! Thanks for post it!
"You have bewitched me body and I soul and I must tell you: I love...I love...I love you...And never wish to be parted from you from this day on.." :)
I luv this movie! BTW the ending scene is only for Hollywood version. It was omitted for britain ver. It could've been 120% perfect only if Mr Darcy wasn't much of pudding head.. lol
A great story but i prefer the Colin Firth film.......have a listen to my Eurovision 2009 entry fro Ireland ..its on my site...maybe leave a comment if you want.....
If you already love this movie, you should see the 1995 BBC mini series. That one blew my mind, the Lizzie - Darcy scenes are electrifying.
I dó love the mise-en-scène of this movie, must admit that that's the only reason I bought it. Some of the scenes are just marvelously beautifull (ao the swing scene)
If you've seen the mini series or read the book, this movie is actually irritating, which sucks, cause I was looking forward to see this new take on my favourite Austen novel :(

What a horrid ugly movie...it completely ruined the charm of the real pride and prejudice...All the actors look so dirty!! And this Darcy has such an expressionless face and voice..horrible!!! and Lizzy here doesn't convey the character of real Lizzy at all..

I found my Mr. Darcy who is just as poetic who at first wondered how we would work as he is English and I American but it finally came together and I'm loving every minute. Well done with the editing and thankyou for showing me the ending I never saw before. God bless the US and God save the Queen lol
This movie was very well done, and was casted almost perfectly. It, obviously, cannot match the book, but does a much better job then most movies have done.
omg i love it......it gives me the chills when he asks to marry her in the rain scene and the fact that they nearly kiss and the way he says "i love you"......im in love with mr.darcy!!!!!!!! do you think they stiil exist, these type of men and did they ever or was it just Austen's invention?
The nice thing about Mr. Darcy is he is not "the perfect man". At times he is rather awkward and clumsy, and not very sociable. It doesn't set an impossibly high standard for us men to have to live up to. And Elizabeth isn't exactly perfect either, but in a way that's what makes her so lovable. Does love like that still exist in the world? Absolutely, it does! As an example I would cite my own mother and father, who have been married more than 30 years and are still crazy about each other.
Okay Bubby let's get something straight. You are right Dracy is not the perfect guy, but the fact that he tries his hardest not to love Elizabeth, but realizes he can't so he gives in. The fact that he could stand there and take thing crap that she gave him is what i believe makes him the Man he is.
Lizzie isn't the perfect either. She would counterdict in front of their peers and litteraly tease him. what makes her perfect is that she realizes what she has done and try to mend it.
@widedwondergirl What makes them perfect is that they're real. They're not some magical couple who everythign miraculously works out for. They make it happen. That's what makes them perfect.
@TheMathGuy I'm hoping to understand this movie more and i cant really find a link for the full movie can you help me? i kinda want example what makes darcy and eliza like that(what you said about them in your comment) yes im very interested on how much perceptive you seen all these, and i think i like the movie :) i hope to get a reply from you soon and pls reply by message ^_^" tysm in advance
Oh yes Men like this do exist you just don't like them.
Because if you think about Mr. Darcy and Lizzie did not get along. So I assume you're mr. Darcy is the guy you hate the ,most or you just haven't met him yet.
Can you upload the FULL version of the last part: Starting from where he's walking to her in the field/the second proposal? I can't find a full clip of that scene anywhere!
so I'm actually commenting on the put-together thing.....wonderful. i loved it. could you put up the whole movie if you haven't?? (i haven't looked at your channel)or tell of someone who has the whole movie up, and nothing is wrong with it??

omg i love it......it gives me the chills when he asks to marry her in the rain scene and the fact that they nearly kiss and the way he says "i love you"......im in love with mr.darcy!!!!!!!! do you think they stiil exist, these type of men and did they ever or was it just Austen's invention?

There are very few good men out there, just as there are few good women. The trick is to find the good people in the world and to cherish them.
Ok....that sounded a bit odd.....been reading too much of Austen lately, I suppose.

Oh yes Men like this do exist you just don't like them.
Because if you think about Mr. Darcy and Lizzie did not get along. So I assume you're mr. Darcy is the guy you hate the ,most or you just haven't met him yet.
