  • I love it! 5 stars and a fav.

  • Thanks!!

  • dude, fuck these christian fanatic assholes. abortion is a RIGHT for the girls (and even sometimes couples who decide TOGETHER) who decide to get it. these christians with their boy-raping priests and pastors have no right to take that option away from those girls/woman, though christianity has already infringed on some of our rights. ever wonder why you cant buy liquor on a sunday? fuck them. the crosses days are numbered. start counting.

  • This video is an elitist nightmare. It advocates for the murder of children born in wedlock, or simple poverty. It was created by a fool; whose very soul is in jeopardy for supporting the evil of abortion on demand.

  • It's like you didn't even watch the video. The video is not about abortion. It says nothing about abortion. In fact, given that it is about preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place, I would argue that it is actually against abortion. Also, you're very rude.

  • Every medical study from 2001 has found condoms actually INCREASE the risk of STDs, as they are ineffective and so more people have more sex wearing more condoms thinking they are protected. The truth is, they are not. Abortions are on the increase. Sex ed has been out there for years. My country is an example of this. As more sex ed is provided in schools and the community abortions are increasing at the same time. Get a real education. NFP or abstinance is the only way to go.

  • That simply isn't true. You need to stop getting your scientific and medical information from your church, just as you wouldn't go to a scientist for information about God. Read the CDC page on condom effectiveness, and read the New Zealand (your country) AIDS Fountation's condemning response to the Pope (who recently made comments almost identical to yours), saying that comments like his are likely to increase HIV transmission rates around the world.

  • In fact, studies show that abstinence only education does not affect teenage sexuality. As a result it is a waste of resources, and it is a squandered opportunity that could have been used to educate teens in ways that do matter. Surely you don't believe that this whole time the correct response to a worldwide AIDS crisis that has killed over 25 million people with 30 million more still infected, creating untold poverty and misery and millions of orphans is simply to say, "don't have sex."

  • I share the point of view that prevention is optimal if one doesn't want to get pregnant. However, if pregnancy does occur, killing the baby is not the answer.

  • You're an idiot.

  • Your constructive criticism is appreciated. I think it's good the level of political discourse in this country is finally on the rise.

  • I get what you are trying to say with this video...but, the absolute only way to prevent unwanted pregnancies is to NOT HAVE SEX . I know of several women who have had unwanted pregnancies and they were actually using birth control. They are studies that have shown that many more unwanted pregnancies have resulted since the dawn of readily available birth control, and the amount of abortions have actually gone up with the readily available birth control. Sorry, not buying your arguement!

  • I totally agree the only sure way is not to have sex. The problem is that these days abstinence is not a reasonable expectation. It's like saying that the only absolute way to prevent dying in a car crash is not to get into a car: it's true, but good luck with that. We need to deal with the realities here, and the realities are that people have sex. The least we can do is tell them how best to prevent pregnancies and disease if they aren't going to give up sex.

  • Also, i just don't get how people don't want their kids to get pregnant, so they deny them sex education and access to birth control. It's like trying to prevent obesity by not teaching about nutrition.

And you talk about contraception as though it causes more pregnancies than it prevents. It's certainly not the perfect solution, but it's better than NOT using birth control. If it were as easy as saying "just don't have sex," then do you think we'd still have over a million abortions per year?

  • Ok, I don't think we should deny kids sex education...in fact I think that is one of the most important ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies! I'm also not completely against birth control...primarily condoms, not only for preventing unwanted pregnancies, but also for preventing the spread of disease. However, I see nothing wrong with going the abstinence approach as well... stressing the importance of waiting for marriage. It's not that unrealistic...if presented the right way...just saying.

  • Then we appear to mostly agree on the issue: Tell kids they should wait, and that when they do finally decide to have sex, they should use condoms if they don't want to get pregnant or infected.

  • It's the potential for good that matters. Maybe a cure for some of the leading causes of death? A lot of murderers weren't always like the way that they are. They have reasons why they have become who they are. Whether it be the person or the parents or the people around that person or even all of the above. Don't get an abortion just because the baby might become a bad person.

  • Nobody is suggesting anybody get an abortion. Where does anybody suggest that somebody get an abortion?

  • What?! I really hope this is not what you meant, but it is allmost like you are saying that NO ONE should have babies. I get that you may not like what the Catholic Church has to say about sex but ending the human race is over kill. The a lot of the people at the end of the video came from bad home lifes that if rased in a loving home they may have turned out to be good people with greatfull adopted parents. In the end life is life and if we honor that we have hope for a better tomorrow.

  • Really? That's what you took away from this? That nobody should have babies and the human race should die out? You didn't think maybe the message was intended for people who don't want to have babies in the first place, and perhaps it was a simple reminder that condoms are one of the best ways to avoid pregnancy?

  • Oh I'm sorry about that I understand now.

Being Catholic I am for Natural Famliy Planning (NFP). NFP is as effective as the condom but rather than block a womans body it works with it. A married couple using NFP learns to express loving in ways other then sex in the time when they refain from sex and when they can have sex it is all the more fun for them when they've built up of desire for each other. NFP can also help the couple to know when they can have a baby.

  • Hey Butterfly. There's nothing wrong with NFP, especially for committed married couples. But not everyone is trying to plan a family. Not everyone who has sex is in a commited, married relationship. Not everyone who has sex even does so to express love. It's not reasonable to expect two 18 year-olds in college experimenting with sex, or having sex for fun to live by the same rules and expectations we have of committed married couples who are going out of their way to abide by Church teaching.

  • However you can expect 18 year olds to accept responsibility for their actions. As 18 year olds they are adults, whether they are mature or not. They did everything required to have a child and if pregnancy occurs then it's incumbent upon them to raise the child.

  • I challenge ANYONE to read Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body". The Catholic Church teaches that when you have sex outside of marriage, you really lie to each other with your bodies. But in a committed marriage it is a moment of grace when the 2 become one with God at the center. AND NFP has a much better success rate than artificial b.c., plus your intimacy grows as a couple.Keep talking, letting other people know what they're missing in buying the lie!

  • Amen to that, Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body has been a blessing to so many people. :)

  • I LOVE THAT BOOK!

    i'm 16. I read it.

    It's very enlightening.

    READ IT!

  • kzhppw, this video is not pro-abortion. it's pro-condom, which is actually ant-abortion. By opposing contraception, the Church's policies have actually led to MORE unwanted pregnancies and therefore MORE abortions. Teaching people to take precautions in order NOT get pregnant will have a far bigger impact reducing the number of abortions than simply telling them not to get an abortion once it's already too late.

  • You changed the original video because you cant go there to think that your position on abortion is killing a human being, a baby. God loves the people he has created. We are all precious to him. 50,000,000 babies in the USA have been killed since Roe v Wade. How many doctors, inventors, scientists, writers, etc...are in the 50,000,000... people gone off of this earth. God thank you for not giving us what we deserve. I am sorry our country has hurt you so.

  • calexander007, how does this video advocate the killing of anyone? It has one simple message: "Don't get pregnant; wear condoms." There's nothing about death, nothing about abortion. What makes you think I don't oppose abortion? Indeed, if people used birth control, to prevent pregnancies they don't want, they wouldn't feel the need to have an abortion. I just don't understand why more people in the pro-life movement don't try to stop abortions by preventing the need for them in the 1st place.

  • To answer your question, I have only known one serial killer in person. He was the step-father of a friend of mine, and it turned out he was killing prostitutes in his free time. He received the death penalty, which I STRONGLY oppose, and was killed via lethal injection.

  • First, it's a PARODY. Second, Your argument is similar to saying that the original video is "ignorant," since it implies that every baby raised in hardship will grow up to be President. How many people do you know personally who are Presidents? The problem with the original video is that it implies abortion is the problem, when in fact abortion only results from unwanted pregnancies. Unwanted pregnancies--easily preventable with a fifty-cent piece of latex--are the problem.

  • This is an ignorant video, since it suggests that by denying your fertility you are saving the world. It should be an obvious fact that the overwhelming majority of human beings are NOT murdering dictators. Just look around you for the proof. How many people that you personally know are murdering dictators or serial killers? The attitude promoted by this video The Culture of Death, the belief that PEOPLE are the problem, and the best way to solve our problems is by killing people.

  • "Just don't have sex," has been shown not to be effective, not unlike "Just Say No to Drugs." Abstinence-only education has been shown to result in no reduction in the amount of sex teens have. Programs where teens formally pledge not to have sex until marriage also have no effective on whether they have sex, plus pledgers are actually MORE likely to have oral or anal sex than nonpledging virgin teens and LESS likely to use condoms once they do have sex. Equals MORE abortions and diseases.

  • This week there are results of a study which shows that abstinence education does, in fact, work. We don't tell kids "You're going to smoke anyway, so use filters," or "You're going to do drugs anyway," so why do we keep telling them, "We have no confidence in you to restrain yourself from having sex."

  • This week's study is an interesting one. It does differ from most abstinence programs we've seen so far in that it doesn't take a moralistic tone, it encourages student to postpone sex until they are "ready," instead of abstaining entirely until marriage, and it included a discussion of sexually transmitted diseases. It'll be interesting to see how future studies play out.

I'm not sure your cigarette analogy is apt here. There is no biological imperative for smoking the way there is for sex.

  • It's simple, just don't have sex if you're not willing to risk pregnancy.

    Also works for STDs.

And to those who say that it's so difficult not to have sex, tell me, how come it's so difficult?

It couldn't be the media bombarding us with all kinds of messages trying to convey that sex is the ultimate pleasure now, could it...?

With certain actions comes great responsibility.

Yet the most idiotic people can raise a child, one of the most impacting decisions on a human life.

    Think before ye act.

  • You make the original point, that we don't know. So how is killing your baby right? I agree, wear condoms. But a child is not "punishment" (Obama's words). Don't be simple.

  • Parodies work better if they are factual. All of those men were raised in nuclear familes I believe.

  • Every time that you have a chance to have sex and you don't, then you may be preventing the birth of a great person.

  • Only 100% way to not get pregnant? Don't have sex. Condoms= test lab=99%, actual=65%. So, don;t have sex, don't get pregnant, don't kill a child. Its very simple.

  • This is the PERFECT argument against abortion--DON'T HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX, or better yet, don't have sex until you are married and ready for children.

I think you should put this on TV, right after catholicvote's ad airs. Together, they will really make people think twice about abortion.

  • what about por people who can't afford protection? You can't force them to just not have sex.

  • "Can't afford protection"? So we're going to dismiss the fact that they're free at the health department? "Can't force them to not have sex"? That's almost a good point but it completely disregards the fact that most people also aren't forced to have sex either. No, choosing not to would require a sense of personal responsibility and we can't ask that of anyone, can we?

  • Whoever made this video is a copycat. Come up with your own ideas if you want people to take you serious. Morons like you being born does make for a good argument on abortion being ok though.

  • love it!! thanks for making the parody.

  • Meh. I think people are smart enough to figure out that this is aimed at people who don't want to get pregnant in the first place. If not, then they probably shouldn't be having babies anyway.

  • umm logically you just advocated wiping out the entire human race. so you should applaud the tyrants you've put in the video, they went a long way toward accomplishing your goal.
