@adaugo1 transitioning is basically growing out your natural hair while slowly cutting off your permed ends. it just an option if you dont want to get the big chop. yes and braids is a transitioning style and also a protective style

Wow your hair looks so nice! It looks really healthy and soft. My hair has been natural for years, but I usually just load it with styling products to pull it into a tucked in ponytail. I couldn't put my hair in traditional scrunchies/ponytail holders/ elastic bands because my hair would be too thick or my head would hurt from the tight pull of my hair. With the banana clip, no problems! Thanks for giving me my first decent puff! =)

I don't live in Chicago, I live in the state of Maryland. Chicago is my hometown. But I'm not really interested in putting my current town on blast. lol.

I can't suggest products for your hair because I know nothing about your hair & there is no one size fits all approach.

You may just blow a lot of money using products that work for me, but not for you.

for me i just like to see different looks on people, n don't get me wrong i love my hair natural, but any tips i can get to get a better straighten look i ask...i think if the person knows what they're doing they shouldn't lose their curl pattern, however if you are not careful and lackadaisically doing your hair then you'd lose ur naps...its not to offend any one its just my personal opinion, I think its cute to like to look different once in a while no one likes repetition

You wouldn't lose them unless you used extremely high heat, because then you'd end up with straight pieces, but what I would worry about is accumulating heat damage over time even if you do it once a year... I don't really like when people want to see my hair straight either so they can see how long it is...
