  • Can maya do this?

  • шикарно

  • I get a fatal error while trying to install the patch now that I've upgraded to Windows 7. That Windows compatibility feature is pretty useless. I loved this game when I got it in '07 and it sucks that I can no longer run it properly.

  • wow!

  • I've seen this dino in the game but had no tooltip :(

  • Super work nice little gadget pencil there.

  • GeorgieZillaFan: Never ment to start a Fight just nobody knws how dinos sound. by the way im not a douchebag but my bro is and im pretty sure hes using this account to make me an asshole. didnt mean to fight and im also ganna make a new account tha he wont know. anyway sorry for the fight.

  • GeorgieZillaFan: It's thier 1st and Only game Featuring dinosaurs the reason i said make a better one because many people (im not including you) Say stupid lil Things over a Dinosaurs in Games. for Example: OMG SPINO OWNED T-REX INACCURATE!!! Cause they never thought what the never coexited same goes with humans and dinos. but know one cares and nobod knows what dinos sound like.. they could speak english as far as im concerned

  • Anyone Knows the Song?

  • sir what kind of application you are using to create this 3d model?

  • i loved this game! i wish they culd build a sequal and made it for pc, ps3 and maybe Xbox!

  • Damn :O your a prof ;) U r using a drawing-tablet :O arent those things expensive? I like drawing, and i am not bad... but i cant use it on my pc, because the tablets are sooooo expensive...

  • I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about Spino being a wimp ass in the dino kingdom. Newsflash: Both Rex and Spino lived about 10 million years apart from each other in different continents. There's no way they would have ever EVER fought unless Spino evolved into Godzilla or something and trekked several thousand miles of ocean without stopping to grab a bite to eat.

  • omg i want that pen in the ball like thingy to draw ;o

  • Great hard work and a lot money spend on that game thats so great with this program you will can make many things not only dinos.....

    Great work keep do this!!!

  • wheres his dick.... :P

  • so this how 3d studio max works cool, can't wait to get it so i can make the jurassic park survival game ever made only it will be a prototype.

  • @solidvipersnake well can't wait!

  • made in GERMANY :) gute Arbeit und diese Grafik vor 4 Jahren ;)

  • That like took 9 mins in full speed O.o

Imagine how long it will that to do that in no speed O.o It Will Take A Very Long Time O.O

  • WOOW =O really cool!!

  • If only spino was a payable mount unit! Which tribe would it be for?

  • Oh definitely Dustriders.

  • I dont know about that, they already have the t-rex which is KICK ASS, I think it should be for the dragon clan as an upgrade for the baryonyx to replace it with spino when you reach tech level 5

  • What program is tnis and how do i get it?????

  • haha ich love this comment, its been answered like a thousands of times on this video, and is even stated in the description :D

  • Yeah, i know, the first part of the comment was stupid, but i's still like to know where to get it

  • george thats the roar i gave u remmber thats were it came from

  • i no but its so unfitting on spino

  • @GeorgieZillaFan Lets see you make a Dino Game and you make an Epic roar...

  • @XenoRaptor123 hahah no. did i say i could make something better? no! ppl should stop using "lest see you do this" as an insult. these guys are the experts of modelling and im just saying they should give spino a better roar. and btw they didnt even make that roar, so get ur facts straight before u go insulting people, douchebag

  • 3dsmax rules

  • bad music -.- nice dinosaur :)

  • I like the end animation, this dinosaur is rare i only saw it once in the pirate level but it also apears in the james wadren level to.

  • Beautiful hands? DSFADSFADSFAS

  • Sunflowers\ParaWorld\Data\Base\Scripts\Game\misc\quotes.txt

  • echt cool wie die Paraworld macher die Dinosaurier erstellt haben

  • what program is this?

  • Is there a program for mac thats free where i can learn to do this?

  • Try Blender. It's a free open source 3D creation software, available for Windows, MAC, Linux...

  • Thanks i just downloaded it! It's gonna take a long time to make something like that O.o

  • Spino was designed for fishhunting. look at the shape of its head. The hole is designed like that of a crocodile. The teeth itself were small and large in numbers. Just take a look at the Baryonix. That dinosaur looks EXACTLY the same as the Spino, minus the Sail on his back (which he did not need as he did not live in a desert). Then you take a look at the claws. The Big claw is designed to be pulled from upside down, just like a Grizzly baer would pull out a fish from the water.

  • cool video

  • wat song is that?

  • its a song by dynamedion

  • jesus christ, thats incredible 8 ?D

  • can you please please please !!!!!!!!

tell where i can get this spinosaurus

  • if u watch my video. Paraworld Spinosaurus then it will tell u in the credits that it can be found in campaign level 6

  • Nicely done, although I'm curious - why did you rotate the drawing to build the model in such an unnatural position?

  • why not. seems to work xD

  • does the spino even get put into the game via update or something?

  • Yes, it's in the game. Got included before it went gold even, IIRC.

  • can you put weapons on it and if so, which team has it? or is it a dangerous wild carnivore that cant be controlled?

  • Can't be controlled.

  • what program did they use?

  • Check out the first comments, it's been mentioned there.

  • Spinosaurus is the biggest carnivore so far discovered. But it isn't more powerful. Tyranosaurus has an immense bite force, and remeber that Tyrannosaurus was a far more advanced predator then Spinosaurus.

  • True. Tyrannosaurus' brain was more complex and larger which indicates that it had a higher degree of intelligence. Spinosaurs brain is estimated to be the size of a soft ball, while T.Rex is an elongated shape over a foot in length. T.Rex's olfactory nerves and optic nerves where very large in comparison to the overall size of the brain. This indicates Tyrannosaurus had a highly developed sense of smell and a great viewing range.

  • Exactly. Though with such small eye sockets, it may have relied on smell more than sight. But it still would've played an imortant role in hunting. I guess that having binocular vision is what helps it even more, which spinosaurus (as far as I know) doesn't have.

  • Not to mention just off the top of my head, there were two different groups who studied T-Rexes bite force. Both came to the same estimations of around 183,000 and 235,000 N. Erickson was one of those, this is no "fluke", and Rex was very capable of such a bite.

6000 is severely underrating the bite of Rex. It was far more capable of that.

  • hey i play para world online and i have an idea.if they made a 2cnd para world maybe u could do something like that but a lot sypler like u can choose all the texter and ect

  • fantastic video

  • Great video, what is the name of the song?

  • Another thing is, muscles becoming weaker in relation to size? Jaw muscles lose almost ZERO energy in size relation, that's why larger crocodiles bite with a stronger force then smaller crocodiles.

If your case was true, then a 5 foot croc would have the same potential as a larger 15 foot croc, however that is not the case.

T-Rex had a phenomenal bite force, in fact, most paleontologist have agreed on the bite force of T-Rex being 5 times stronger then its actual recorded feeding bite.

  • You are not understanding the concept I am trying to get across. Obviously a larger animal will be stronger than a smaller one of the same species but not proportionately. Muscle cross section is proportionately greater is smaller animals. That does not mean 5 foot croc bites harder than a 15 footer. A 15 foot croc may have a bite force triple its weight. But a 5 foot croc may have a bite force conservatively 10 times its bodyweight.

  • Why in the world does that matter? A T-Rexes biteforce would have still exceeded 40,000 lbs easily, larger animals bite with more power then a smaller scale one, regardless of it having a "stronger" bite force in proportion to size...2,000 lbs<<<<<40,000lbs period.

You can sit here and try to say 10x more, however a 15 foot crocodile will not reach the bite force of a prehistoric crocodile which is 40 feet in length, and just larger.

T-Rex was capable of 40,000-50,000 lbs of bite force.

  • the main difference between t-rex and spino is that spino had teeth that where desined to grab and hold prey the t-rex had teeth to crush his prey. if they would fight the rex would crushed the neck or ripped apart a leg of the spino

  • How does this refute T-Rexes bite? An ant at it's size moves faster then a cheetah can so what's the point? Also, you are wrong Senjiro, the recorded bite force was from the animal when it was already dead. Notice that they recorded the puncture wounds from the bite and pull method, this was utilized to rip the hind quarters from the Triceratops.

This could only be achieved when the animal was dead. As I have stated, this has been studied numerous times, 5x bite is very real.

  • What are you talking about!

  • awesome vid, i personally prefer Maya to Studio Max anyday

  • can you please tell me if the is a website?!

  • i love this music and watching this come to life. Beautiful. n_n

  • it's inspirational!,too good! great skills.

  • pretty cool!^_^ keep it up!

  • Verry nice, whats the name of the programs u use ???

  • 3DS Max, Claytools & Photoshop

  • So, basically, you can add Dinosaurs in the game itself?! Even ones that haven't even been introduced to the game?!

  • podrias spunior decirme si esto es herramienta 3D lo se se nota pero dime en que subprograma o herramienta se hace la masificacion de la figura del dinosaurio te lo hagradeceria muchisimo.

  • Well, if you're talking about the normal mapping, that was done with Claytools - a software that comes along with Sensable's Omnidevice.

  • very cool. I always thought those things were some type of 3d scanner. I see an intuos, too, I think.

  • I like it :P BUT i dont like the pait on it.. To white :P

  • What modeling program did u use?

  • 3D Studio MAX

  • Damn I like this song. can anybody tell me what this song is called?

  • Looks like they did a great job with creating this Dino.

  • during the whole video I was amazed, yet the resulting model has disappointed me, I don't want to sound offensive, only that the coloring made the dino look like a toy (yes, I know dinos were more than just gray, but the result was too much IMO)

nonetheless you've got some great modelling skills dude, respect

  • Hey i herd their were Gigantopitigus in the mision with the pirats! IS that true?!

  • Spinosaurus is in the game! In mission 6 where you look around to see for wildlife you can see a spinosaurus near an apatosaurus herd.

  • were can i download it i looked everywere nothing

  • looks like a dragon

  • u look like a dragon

  • @drinkanybody: 3dsmax for modelling, photoshop for texturing and also in this video claytools for detailling

  • hursh

  • cool dino. can someone please tell mewhat program was use to make it?

  • to those people that say spinosaurus mostly ate fish

    ------------------------

Actually spinosaurus was a powerful hunter as powerful as a T-Rex(or more) and ate only fish when food is scarce.

  • But it's teeth where hollow so if there was a face off against the T-rex and the Spino, the spinosaurus would probably loose.

  • That's a myth...spino's teeth were not hollow, nor were its teeth weak in any sense. It had to pierce through highly armored cretaceous fish as its prey, so it did require a decent bite force. the alligator gar is a modern armored fish, its scales are hard enough to be used as arrow heads, cretaceous fish were even tougher.

  • Spinosaurus was in no way, as powerful as a Tyrannosaurus Rex. That is nonsens, T-Rex is the most heavily muscled giant theropod dinosaur ever discovered. Although Spino and Giga where slightly larger, T-Rex is the king in pure raw power.

A Spinosaurus was a long veterbrae dinosaur, T-Rex was built for strength. Not to mention having arguably the most massive neck and a bite force that is stated to be over 50,000 psi...T-Rex>Spino, easily.

  • that's enough to lift a tractor trailer rig easily. 50,000 lbs is the weight of around 5 fully grown bull African elephants, that's alot of weight per square inch, without teeth it would still kill you easily lol also the rex was built for fighting, so many healed injuries on their bones, they got in alot of fights and lived.

  • PSI is a fairly useless measurement with regards to bite. It is simply a measure of pressure within a single square inch, thus it gives skewed, overblow view of bite strength. PSI isn't an accurate measure of bite strength. For example, sharks have high psi, but relatively feeble bite force. The normal indicator used is lbs of force. T-Rex has 6,000 lbs of bite force.

  • Senjiro, you are incorrect, Tyrannosaurus Rex was indeed capable of dishing out 40,000-50,000 lbs of force.

This was studied by Erickson on numerous occasions on the bite force of T-Rex, stating that the feeding bit was 5,000 lbs but the killing bit would have been 5 times greater then that. Not to mention it was also studied again as well at a University where it accumulated up to 235,000 newtons, that's 52,830 lbs, clearly well beyond the 6000 lb range you where stating.

  • I am not incorrect and at the moment neither are you. I do however have a link that expounds upon that 200k + newton figure as being far too generous as an estimation because it showed far too much of a one-to-one ratio for bite force to size. Which we know is not possible. As an animal grows larger its muscle strength is proportionately weaker. At least the 6,000 lb figure comes from a more practical test from tooth marks. Though I'm sure its not the absolute best possible bite force.

  • The 6000 lb bite force you speak of comes from a feeding bite which was derived from a carcas, mind you, a feeding bite is absolutely weaker then that of an actual killing bite.

T-Rex did not "have" a weak bite force period in relation to a larger size period. It's Jaws is short, and most noticeably in all powerful jawed animals it is extremely wide.

Erickson even estimated the 50,000 lb bite force in relation to a separate study which concluded in the same exact results.

  • There is no evidence that it was a carcass bite as I recall. A years older 3000 lbs of force figure was however given a feeding bite flag. Even still I've given the concession that 6000 lbs isn't likely the maximum. No where did I say 'weak'. Do not confuse the suffix of 'er' on weaker to interpret that I mean 'weak' absolutely or even relatively. I only mean that a larger animal will have a proportionately weak'er' muscle action than a smaller sized specimen.

  • Also you initially said 50,000 PSI and now you say 50,000 lbs of force. They are two very different things mind you.

  • are spinos bigger then t-rex in the game?

  • It looks easy, but I'm sure the footage was sped up to make it lok easier than it really was. In my opinion, I think that colouring it is harder than shaping it.

  • the shaping looks simple actually, dammit i rly need Maya!

  • how do u make that using 3d studio because i just got it.

  • that 888 thing is a virus, I remember the name from when I had a trojan

  • i keep marking it as spam but it keeps coming back.

  • a trojan? nvr herd of it only herd the word, wats it mean?

  • Did Paraworld get Bankrupt or something? Cause i don't so it around and noone plays online

  • can anyone help me on installing paraworld?i had difficulties on it n i really want to play it

  • can you make a rex instead of a useless spino?

  • he didnt make, thay alredy have rex

  • Won't load! :[

  • i know it dosent load

  • Awsome probly takes like a week but otherwise that would be so cool to make.

  • wtf, this is very cool, where i can learn it?

  • nice

  • well claytools is a topology independent sculpting system, while you can do some similar things to zbrush, you can do a lot of stuff which zbrush is not capable of, due to its limitation to given topology.

But zBrush and mudbox are the better tools, they are more hardwarefriendly and easier to use.

the omni device you need to work with claytools is awesome though.

  • modelling is easy-Texturing looks superb i hope iam gona learn this too one day.

thirs program i never used seems like Zbrush?

    good job looking for help?

  • i love that game im always online

  • Think of that! Game animators is doing that 24.7!!

  • nice

  • cool

  • my friend u have mixed my love for dinosaurs and computer engineering into one freakin amazing film. ur awesom and very talented

  • hum awesome stuff

i knew it was 3dsmax but i didnt know so much effort was required for just like on character/npc/dinodude/evilthing/monster/mammal/sperm

  • yeah what program is this

  • 3D Studio MAX for the basic modelling, Claytools for the normal maps.

  • 3D studio is Expensive as hell

  • What modeling program is this?

  • ita a game.

  • They put the nosehole in the wrong place. It so posed to be much closer to the eye.

  • Wrong. All dinosaurs, including spinosaurs appear to have had their nostrils closer to the end of the snout. Either way, this skeleton appears to have been drawn by Fredrik Spindler. I wonder if they credited him. His Spinosaur skeletal is the best one I've found so far...

  • Thanks I was just about to say that.

  • birth of a spinosaurus yay!

  • they ned to make an expansion for this game making a new faction with a spinosaur titan.

  • la cagaste al final, yo lo hago mejor

  • It's to smooth and too hi-lighted,but looks like dinosaur.

  • u suck! this is the best video of the year

  • pretty good

  • that was mentaly amazing!!!

  • it looks so easy but it's really hard to make!

good vid. only the music sucked!

  • Brilliant work Paraworld makers!!! I need that game.

  • Polys look so much easier than splines >_<

  • Not half as good as anything in the dinosauricon website artists gallery. If someone there did the texturing we'd have a masterpiece. This is amateurish.

  • I tried to submit to dinosauricon and the T. Michael Keesey never responed. :(

  • I didnt liked the work of the guy in the textures, he didt knew a shit about drawing dinosaurs, not even actual animals and fucked the whole thing from that on. Im 16 and im sure i can draw better than that guy.... i wish i had that guy's job >:(

  • I've also spotted one on Mission 10, lurking around the eastern part of the jungle.

  • Here's a hint: mission 6. There's one lurking around near the path to the pirate base. It's guarding an artifact that proves useful in the last part.

  • very good

  • amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiing

  • kool!

  • Does ANYONE know what map Spinosaur is on?

  • I know for a fact that there is a Spinosaurus in the Pirates and Hostages mission. He kinda blocks the path to a point where you probably could concievably put a Brachio Catapault or two to offer land-based assistance when you go after the ship.

  • the spinosaurus is on two maps the pirates and hostages and the map where you meet james warden

  • @Kriserss: i did the modelling part in that video... trust me its 3dsmax ;)

    @random0815: no problem :)

@acaacaacaaca: gibt doch ausreichend Modelingtutorials im Netz, da brauchst du ja jetzt nicht unbedingt noch eins zu genau diesem Video ;)

  • Kann ich ein tutorial davon haben? Wen es geht. :-/

  • wow thankyou for sharing that! cant believe that you professionals follow this classical approach, include "modeling" and "tutorial" to the search keys, very helpfull for us newbs :)

did the programm translate your photoshop drawing into threedimensional shapes or did you have to do it manually?

  • Cool video, but bah the Spinosaurus was a overgrown fish-eater. It wasnt equiped to crush bones, spines and every thing eles like T-Rex. Jass pressure was also no contest it would be like a Pit-bull versus a overgrown poodle.

  • What does that have to do with this video?!

It's pathetic that when people think about Spinosaurus, they start whining about the fight between it and T. rex.

And Spinosaurus wasn't an "overgrown fish eater." It was just really big, and it ate mostly fish.

  • it's not 3ds max, this is Maxon Cinema 4D

  • wo kann ich das downloaden!

  • awesome!

  • thats amazing how they do that

  • how do u record ur screen?

  • We used Camtasia to record most of the footage. The composition/editing of the video then was done in Adobe Premiere.

  • 3DS MAX ?

  • 3D Studio Max by Autodesk

  • How ?

  • While it was fun to see the model being built, I think you could have used some refrences from professional paleo-artists to get the head to look right. I realize it's a fantasy game, but still- the head didn't look right because you were missing the orbit behind the eye when you were creating the skin. You can still make them intimidating while making them look more accurate.

I'm just offering my opinion. People like Todd Marshall are good to observe if you want the "scary-but-accurate" look.

  • I love Todd Marshall! He draws a mean Spinosaurus.

  • OMG YES

    So many spikes :P

  • amazing what program did ya use

  • 3DS MAX for the standard modelling, Photoshop CD for the texturizing, Claytools for the normal maps.

    -JD

  • man!! i like it

    great job!!
