@TheSmyates In what way? I use REAPER (recording software) and don't usually add any effects (apart from reverb and sometimes EQ). You could try adding EQ or playing around with mic placement... :)
@bluepingu345 I mean, when I record with mine, it just sounds plain crap. (if you go on my video's there is a good example) Your videos sound pretty good and how do you do it?
@TheSmyates I listened to your Pantera cover (which was good BTW) and it sounds like you need to try changing the placement of the mic next to the speaker. Experiment with different angles and try moving the mic closer, or further back. Also, try adding EQ on your software and adjust it as you listen. Hope that helps :)
Hi there, I bought the same guitar and I have a question for you. Can you hear any tone/sound difference when the pick-up switch is in the middle position? I'm asking that because mine sounds the same in middle and neck position. cheers
@Superagusito Yes, it works well for singing and spoken word too. You could record the guitar as one track, then over the top, you record the singing. Hope that helps!
What is the range like for that Mic? The Samson Q1U USB Mic? Have you tried recording bass sounds with it? When you say "volume: bedroom level" - it picks up relatively quiet sounds? Any thoughts appreciated
@GlassPike I have not tried bass, but I have tried piano and it works fine for that. As for bedroom level, I could hear my strings as well as the amp. Hope that helps :) .
How did you make that mic sound good? Mine sounds bad

Man... you can cut-of your hand.. because you need not so dificult mechanism like a hand... for your style.
try some wooden mechanism - you can sell your hand - and buy many pick´s :)
