Liked the song very much, had me humming along. If I had to be picky, at around 1minute 30seonds I found the saxophone was competing with the vocals for my attention, so I had to listen to it a couple of times, first concentrating on the lyric and then enjoying the great sound of the sax. It's kinda catchy and the more I hear it, the more I like it. Great video and complemented the song quite brilliantly.
Once again you wrote a very good song. A simple lyric that has great depth when you put all the phrases together. It is a layered lyric, I agree with others who have said this is poignant and beautiful. This is another notch in the like column.
wowo this is an incredible song, you are so talented!! I love the classic raw feel the song has it definitely has a 60s -70s vibe very acoustic and amazing I really love it!!!
@marcelleepereira Thanks. Glad you got it. Someone said to me that the fact that he is in denial is too subtle and that if it hadn't been for my description, he wouldn't have got that.

@TheBeestoncowboy Thank you for commenting. I'm not sure which category I will put it into, but I know it won't be the Pop category - apparently that's for kiddy pop.
@DaniKaris Hi, I look for songwriters, folk songwriters, unsigned artists, original songs and such like. If I like something, I comment on it and hope that the artist will be kind enough to listen to mine and comment. Thank you for commenting on this.
I agree with the guy who said this is a little like the Kinks or George Formby - it's got that old Vaudeville/Music Hall kind of melody, chord sequence and feel. It also reminds me of Harry Nilsson. Nice work!
@NadiaComposer I am glad you approve. My father was a great inspiration to me. He taught me to play the bass guitar and encouraged me to pick up the guitar and learn keyboards.
@Andreagear4 I'm glad you liked it. I have tried to whistle in a song before, but it didn't sound good. This was done using a new microphone I bought and it came out right. The banjo is a ukulele by the way. Thank you very much.
Great Song ! I really enjoyed it ! It was very laid back, at least in the beginning but had a nice jazzy finish ! The video was just wonderful and suited the song very well ! Beautifully Done ! Thank you so much for sharing ! 5*****+
This is very well written, the instrumentation is fantastic and everything complements each other wonderfully. You don't hear much music like this anymore!
Well you certainly do write songs that appeal to my taste ! Musically and lyrically reminding me of Clifford T Ward & Gilbert O'sullivan ! Love the instrumentation you use, adds Colour. You are a talented & prolific writer. G
@gazzymodo Thank you very much. I did this a little while ago, but hearing your excellent rendition of 'I'll See You In My Dreams' encouraged me to post it. As for the instrumentation, it's amazing what you can do with a computer. Needless to say, I don't play trumpet, sax, jazz fiddle etc.
I really like this. A 30's type sound. I'm sure your father would be proud of you. Well done!

Thanks for listening to/watching "The River". I often wonder how people decide what to browse through on Youtube. There is so much out there.
"The Lucky Girl" was a bit of a roast for my husband's 40th.
Very relaxing song. I always think a whistle is a great inclusion - can't do it myself unfortunately.
