I don't think giants with spinal curvature should be credited with their supposed height WITHOUT the curvature. Lots of dwarfs have curvature, but Guinness never says "he's 3feet 6, but without spinal curvature he'd be 3 feet 10. They simply measure him as he is. As for rivals for Kosen, don't forget, Guinness can't always get access to people in China (like Yao Defen for example).

As for dwarves they are try to be as short as possible whereas giants are trying to look as tall as possble so adding back the height loss from spinal curvature for them makes sense.

There is a man from China who was measured at 242 cm. Although he was measured at 4-5 cm shorter than Kosen, it is likely he is as taller or even taller than Kosen in the morning because of his severe spinal curvature. And there is Ajaz Ahmed from Pakistan who might actually be the 8,4" he was claiming.

In the picture Harry is near a lady, and if that lady is 1.65 m; he really could be 2.80; but if she is a very short woman of 1.35 m (cretinism, nanism etc); than he might have be 2.25 meters tall...
