Is it moral to jude anyone for they're problems unless it directely affects you in a bad way? Probably not, actually... absolutely not.
But since some moral standards have been proven wrong in the past, think about this:
It's simply a waste of energy, it's not the economical thing to do. If you randomly piss off others because of anything you don't like to see, you waste so much energy "hating" but honestly, what for? does it give you anything? does it make you a better, more successful...
...healthier, more creative, more beautiful person? Does pissing off others do anything else than give you the illusion to be better than someone else for a few minutes? Probably not.
In fact it does not only waste your own energy, it also wastes the energy of the person you're hurting with it. He will feel insecure, ashamed and insufficient and in the end, this will lead to unhealthy and irrational choices. frustrated people tend to eat more, be less active and less happy. does that serve you..
if you think about it, by pissing off others for no real reason, you're creating a lose-lose situation, if you think about it, it's an economical disaster and completely defeats the ever popular argument: "oh, fat people cost so much".
if you truly are concerned about the overweight, then go ahead and be a kickarse doctor, go ahead and be a health-food designer, be a wonderful teacher who reaches out to the kids, be a nutritionist or whatever else you wanna be. if you truly...
...want to change something, then change it with kindness, sincerity, vigour and a smart brain in your otherwhise useless head. if you're not actually willing to do that, you're just as lazy as you think an overweigt person is.
You might have seen that comming but i'll tell you anyway: i am overweight and guess what, i kick arse at my job, i kick arse at the gym and i for one have made the experience that it is very rarely the educated and precious society member who comes up to me, pissing me
...off, it's more the slugger who thinks he can judge me for being overweight... what twisted irony is that supposed to be?
everyone who has a little bit brains might eventually come to the conclusion that judgement, rudeness and plain malignity is never going to solve but to create problems... for you and the ones you hurt.
however i'm not saying that it's one hundret percent ok to be fat and unhealthy, but it sure as hell is ok to be healthy, smart and valuable eventhough you might be fat.
and you sure won't see the worth of a person to society, to theyr family or to themselfes just by looking at them.
disrespecting fat people might be something that feels logic to you and guess what, you're free to think what you want and to waste your own energy on it but forcing others to waste energy on your atempt to conceal your own shortcommings, just to feel a little better is just plain stupid and shows how little you know about how the human brain works...
public humiliation is infuriating. fury creates large amounts of anxious energy. energy requires calories and burns fat. so making fun of fat people in public actually helps them in the long run. too many people are too nice to fat people. if we all made fun of fat people they would do one of two things, they would lose weight or they would kill themselves. if they kill themselves that is one less fat person trying to make fat look "normal".
@greycloud24 Although this is a totally ridiculous comment, I have to give you points for jerk originality. Rage burns calories? LOL That's really the first time I ever heard that one.
as an older lady who knows how to get thru life, she saw ur fat friend and couldnt walk away...how can a good person ignore that? stop being so damn sensitive! not eveyone who says something is making fun of fat people, most are actually concerned that is why they say something and you just interpret it incorrectly
luv ur video. and sooo true. millions of people think that just cause a persons fat, that gives them an open invitation to say what they want. but they dont understand what that persons going through. im healthly and i work out, but i would never say something that mean or judge them.
you and your friend do realize that you could both sue the bitch for embarassing your friend, right? I dunno how it is in your country, but over here where I live, any sort of discrimination is reason enough to send someone to jail.
In other words: the old whore's punishment was not enough.
@Wolliom your an ass hole because just cuz your fat dosnt mean your not human dont hate on big people because of your own fucking insecurities first off we have more heart than you ugly ass and just because we are overweight dosnt mean were not human..........so go fuck your self better off your probably never gonna get laid you ignorant fuck
I honestly HATE how people think that "fat" people eat nonstop. I am overweight, but I often eat much, much less than I am supposed to, at around half as many calories as I should eat, and I sometimes have to force myself to eat. And yet, most people look disgusted whenever they see an overweight person eating, and say that they would lose all that "lard" if they just stopped.
Overwieght people aren't just overweight due to the fact that they eat cause they are depressed or they feel bad about themselves some of us have thyroid issues and it makes us eat, or some of us take steriods due to illnesses we have and they make us eat. I am one of them but all in all what you are saying is true and those who put down big people do it cause they are insecure within themselves and hurting others makes them feel good. Sad but true..
I think that people shouldn't be so mean to people who tell others they need to get healthy. At least they care enough to say something. The bigger issue isn't what the old lady in this video said to your friend, it's the health of the individual she was saying it to. I feel bad that the old woman was reported and forced to apologize when she at least cared enough to say something. GEESH!
Actually it was an inappropriate forum to tell someone about anything to do about their weight. She (my friend) was about to take her FINAL exam and the woman was a proctor who doesn't know my friend at all. My friend is very aware of her health issues, and has been working on losing weight, but anyone who has ever has been overweight knows that fat doesn't disappear quickly, it takes hard work. It is also mighty presumptuous of you to assume that because someone is fat, that they are sick
If the woman were a grandmother or a mother to my friend, then I would have no issue with it. But when you say something to someone in front of other people that you know is unacceptable, you don't really care about their "health" you are just forcing your superiority complex on them and trying to embarrass them. Anyone that is really concerned would also consider whether it makes someone SUICIDAL to be criticized about their weight, which it did to my friend.
Great vid. That old lady had some nerve. It's a shame that society wants us to be a stick figure. Health wise yes it's good to get down to a particular weight that is maintainable and comfortable for you but that doesn't mean get down to a size zero. Just because a person is small doesn't necessarily mean they are healthy. people suffer with heart attacks everyday and size doesn't matter. Tell your friend to stay strong and keep striving. :-)
Love the video! That proctor was very inappropriate. Just because you're thin or small framed, doesn't make you healthy. She was soo rude! Who judges what people eat and your lifestyle, in public? So rude! You'd think she WOULD have the filter since she is older, but no... insane!
It amazes me the igmorance of some people..I know an older lady who is overweight, but this woman moves..she belly dances like no one's business, and she takes african dance class like 3x a week..tell them not to let the smooth taste fool them
