I'm still pissed off at Sony and Naughty Dog for killing off Jak and Daxter. That's one of my all time favorite franchises, I like it almost as much as my Nintendo franchises. That's one thing I don't like about Sony, they forget their old fanbase. Uncharted is going be killed off the same way, I guarantee it.
sony has been doing this shit since the beginning there was like 7 crash games on the ps1 and 2 of them were mario party and mario kart clones. ratchet is getting played out yo and so will uncharted. im not bashing sony because its the truth. every halo feels different it always adds something new. but now since bungie left, i wonder where halo will be going now

Wii 4me is Mario Galaxy 1,2, GoldenEye007 and that's all! ps3/360 have more good games 4me! like Call Of Duty series, Battlefield BC2,3, Street Fighter, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 1,2, LA Noire, GTA, Yakuza 3 and 4 (fantastic games!) and they are only on ps3 or 360 NOT Wii! And Duke Nukem Forever soon is coming on ps3/360/pc maybe Wii2 will be better with more gr8 games
Hmm, I disagree with "SONY doesn't Innovate" Yea sure not Resistance or Killzone.. But have you heard of Demon Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, and littlebigplanet? Also Last Guardian coming out . Most of SONY's exclusives are indeed overhyped and talked about too much. But they still are diverse with their exclusives. NOW Microsoft..thats a whole other story

@rxl209 A children's toy wouldn't have M rated games on it, and a children's toy wouldn't have an age average of 29. Average age of a 360 gamer is 15, and for PS3 it's 17, if anything the 360 is a kids toy. It is very possible to get a great hardcore fix on the Wii, if the Wii was only a kids toy, then Madworld, one of the most violent games out there, wouldn't be a Wii exclusive.
The thing that makes Nintendo the strongest game company is that unlike Sony and Microsoft, they do great at making both hardware and software, while Microsoft is all about software, which is why the 360 has the highest fail rate. Sony is all about hardware, they have the strongest console of all 3, but it's in last place due to lack of software support, a.k.a exclusive games. Nintendo does both, which makes them the stronger developer.
@gamingdude789 though it may be true that Wii doesnt get a lot of multiplats, it makes up for it with all it's high quality 1st party games. Games like Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, DK CR, and Smash Bros make the system a must have. The problem with 360 and PS3 is that they mainly support 3rd prty games, so they have alot of similar games. So the Wii has more exclusives than both the others do.
@gamingdude789 gaming is all about experience. When gaming evolves, it adds new ways to experience games better and differently. How do video games do this? Simple, controls, gameplay. Wii introduced a new way to play with motion controls, which is now used in all consoles. N64 introduced 3D gaming with an analog stick, and is now a regular. So with that in mind, better controls and new experiences are far more important than DLC.

You've never played let alone seen an N64 game have you? I own Black Ops as well and in no way does it look like an N64 game. Anyone with their Wii hooked up online and with the Nintendo Channel can view their gaming stats the very same way that he did.

Twilight Princess was a pretty dark Zelda game. I mean, no blood and gore, but the setting/ story was dark. And Link is always a total badass, no matter what game he's in.

Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are probably some of the darkest in the series and it didn't need blood and gore to get that across. I don't think Nintendo will ever go the route of emphasizing violence in a Zelda game which is what a lot of people mean by a "darker" Zelda. I can see them moreso pursuing what they did in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess by presenting that kind of theme and atmosphere which IMO, works a lot better than dismemberment and buckets of blood.
And I dont know what people are talking about new IPs. Is Luigis Mansion a new IP?I mean Nintendo always have fresh and new ideas in their excising games that may use well established characters but puts them in whole new situation .
For example they could use any faceless random character for kid Icarus UR, which undoubtedly is something very new for Nintendo and for the series, but they use an existing character to represent a whole new gameplay-style. New IP... who cares! Gameplay matters!
Tbh, I think 1st party on PS3 (and yes, I do own one) is not doing well because they tend to announce something 3 years before release and when it comes out there are already several games that did it just as good or better and all the fuzz is not there anymore... They really should announce the games when they are near completion like now with Uncharted 3. That`s how you do it!

Just compare Zelda games on the same platforms like Zelda 1 & 2 (NES), OoT & MM (N64) , WW & Four Swords Adventures (GCN), PH & ST (DS). All of those are way different from each other. They keep milking games? Kid Icarus is 25 years old and Uprising on the 3DS is only part 3. If that's milked, then so is Killzone. I can name much more examples, but I'm out of space.

he listed super metroid and fusion and compaired it to the prime series, in which case they are very different. the paper mario games are very different from the others in the franchise like 64 and sunshine. all the zelda games play different then the other, windwaker plays nothin or even looks anything like OoT/MM, TP plays different too.

Only notable ones I can think of are Pikmin, Eternal Darkness, and Geist -- and that's all Gamecube era.

Wii didn't sell because it was cheaper. The gamecube was cheaper than the PS2 and Xbox 1 last gen. Did that help no? The n64 was cheaper than the PS2. DId that help it? NO. Fix your logic stupid.

The ps2 made up for all the shovelware cause it received all the muliplatform games that came out unlike the wii which misses out on great games like crysis 2 and dukenukem forever. ok i can except that...that the multiplat thing brings up another problem that stems from 3rd parties and not nintendo. most of the 3rd parties arent willin to make games for the wii not because the wii cant handle the games, but becuase of its graphics and are too lazy to dev an engine to run the games on the wii. perfect example would be capcom and RE5, SF4, and MvC3. games like xenoblade even showed that the wii possible coulda had ES:oblivion on it if the time was givin.
while i do understand that the wii has its limits compaired to the HD twins, the reasons why most of the multis arent on the wii is due to pure laziness minus a handfull of games. games like CoD black ops also proved that there was no problem with makin the exact same games for wii but with a mere graphics downgrade...which is quite petty to most true gamers that arent graphics whores. 3rd parties are literally JUST now startin to get that, thus beautiful games like TLS.

The reason I blame nintendo for this is because if they actually made the wii hd, devs would be able to port the game to the wii without making a separate version or watering things like graphic effects and online player caps. also xeno blade looking like oblivion is nothing these days. i wasnt talkin about the visuals so much as i was about the size of the world. people never even fathomed that the wii could pull off a world of that size and bein able to literally go everywhere u can see, and still darn near look like a 360(minus the character models)...and STILL have 80+hrs of content. the thing us wii hater/journalists are most likely gonna ignore all this, although it already got a perfect score from famitsu.

i can agree with this. the NES ruled at the time when gamin wasnt popular, over half of the owners were real gamers. the casual thing would however have to be included with the 32/64bit and GC/PS2/XBOX era though.

I'm still pissed off at Sony and Naughty Dog for killing off Jak and Daxter. That's one of my all time favorite franchises, I like it almost as much as my Nintendo franchises. Average age of a 360 gamer is 15, and for PS3 it's 17, if anything the 360 is a kids toy. It is very possible to get a great hardcore fix on the Wii, if the Wii was only a kids toy, then Madworld, one of the most violent games out there, wouldn't be a Wii exclusive.

The thing that makes Nintendo the strongest game company is that unlike Sony and Microsoft, they do great at making both hardware and software, while Microsoft is all about software, which is why the 360 has the highest fail rate. Sony is all about hardware, they have the strongest console of all 3, but it's in last place due to lack of software support, a.k.a exclusive games. Nintendo does both, which makes them the stronger developer.

Games like Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, DK CR, and Smash Bros make the system a must have. The problem with 360 and PS3 is that they mainly support 3rd prty games, so they have alot of similar games. So the Wii has more exclusives than both the others do.

@gamingdude789 gaming is all about experience. When gaming evolves, it adds new ways to experience games better and differently. How do video games do this? Simple, controls, gameplay. Wii introduced a new way to play with motion controls, which is now used in all consoles. N64 introduced 3D gaming with an analog stick, and is now a regular. So with that in mind, better controls and new experiences are far more important than DLC.

Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are probably some of the darkest in the series and it didn't need blood and gore to get that across. I don't think Nintendo will ever go the route of emphasizing violence in a Zelda game which is what a lot of people mean by a "darker" Zelda. I can see them moreso pursuing what they did in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess by presenting that kind of theme and atmosphere which IMO, works a lot better than dismemberment and buckets of blood.

Tbh, I think 1st party on PS3 (and yes, I do own one) is not doing well because they tend to announce something 3 years before release and when it comes out there are already several games that did it just as good or better and all the fuzz is not there anymore... They really should announce the games when they are near completion like now with Uncharted 3. That`s how you do it!
Still no other first party comes close to what the N-Dub provides...

Just compare Zelda games on the same platforms like Zelda 1 & 2 (NES), OoT & MM (N64) , WW & Four Swords Adventures (GCN), PH & ST (DS). All of those are way different from each other. They keep milking games? Kid Icarus is 25 years old and Uprising on the 3DS is only part 3. If that's milked, then so is Killzone. I can name much more examples, but I'm out of space.

I understand they've been around a lot longer, but that doesn't really change the facts, now does it. And as far as new IPs, I'm certainly not seeing any from Nintendo this gen. 3 Halo games within one generation, Call of Duty every fucking year (etc.) are alright, but when Nintendo brings back DK Country after 15 years and the gap between Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword will be 5 years, they are the ones milking franchises? lol. Not to mention that it often doesn't matter if your IP is new, if it's just another space marine shooting game at the end of the day. There's way too much of that shid this gen, thank Nintendo for keeping platformers and adventures alive.

Its obvious since the third party games sell like shit and the escapist conducted a survey showing the wii is the least played console this gen. Its even played less than the gamecube according to them.

The ps2 made up for all the shovelware cause it received all the muliplatform games that came out unlike the wii which misses out on great games like crysis 2 and dukenukem forever. Also when I say wii games sell like shit I'm talking about ones that only sell under 800,000 like mad world and no more heroes.

ok i can except that...that the multiplat thing brings up another problem that stems from 3rd parties and not nintendo. most of the 3rd parties arent willin to make games for the wii not because the wii cant handle the games, but becuase of its graphics and are too lazy to dev an engine to run the games on the wii. perfect example would be capcom and RE5, SF4, and MvC3. games like xenoblade even showed that the wii possible coulda had ES:oblivion on it if the time was givin.

while i do understand that the wii has its limits compaired to the HD twins, the reasons why most of the multis arent on the wii is due to pure laziness minus a handfull of games. games like CoD black ops also proved that there was no problem with makin the exact same games for wii but with a mere graphics downgrade...which is quite petty to most true gamers that arent graphics whores. 3rd parties are literally JUST now startin to get that, thus beautiful games like TLS.

The reason I blame nintendo for this is because if they actually made the wii hd, devs would be able to port the game to the wii without making a separate version or watering things like graphic effects and online player caps. also xeno blade looking like oblivion is nothing these days. When it looks like skyrim then we'll talk

i wasnt talkin about the visuals so much as i was about the size of the world. people never even fathomed that the wii could pull off a world of that size and bein able to literally go everywhere u can see, and still darn near look like a 360(minus the character models)...and STILL have 80+hrs of content. the thing us wii hater/journalists are most likely gonna ignore all this, although it already got a perfect score from famitsu.

i can agree with this. the NES ruled at the time when gamin wasnt popular, over half of the owners were real gamers. the casual thing would however have to be included with the 32/64bit and GC/PS2/XBOX era though.
