I loved this song when it first came out in the `60s. One of my memories from back then is when my brother in law used to race stock cars at Spedeworth stadiums like Wimbledon and Aldershot, and this song echoing eerily around the stadiums between races made Spector`s "wall of sound" sound even BIGGER. Great times .... and Tina rocks like no other...
Still remember vividly when I first heard it in 1966 one night on my lousy radio set - fading in and out as was usual when listening on MW to English radio. I was 19 and was immediately hooked on it. And always remained so still giving me goose bumps. Spector at his best. Tina at her best. No singers like this anymore...
This is the bomb.. They gookin LOL.. Love every thing about Tina turner.. She seems so bewildered on this, it kind of scares me probably because it's old.. Stuff in the 60's on down kind of creeps me out..
Still one of my favourite songs , stands up so well to the test of time. Loved the wall of sound, such a shame Phil Spectre ended up inside. Thx for this clip, loved it
I went out and bought this when it came out back in the 60's and it still sounds as amazing as it did then. Phil Spector was brilliant with his wall of sound.
They rerecorded because if flopped in the US. When they rerecored it was on the top of the charts in the US. I LOVE THE ORIGINAL. it def gives goosebumps.
yaayyy!!!! this is the way i like the song! like how she performed in the movie!!! i jus dont understand why she rerecorded it with golden redords....but still amazing!!

Ike looks as mean as he was - a real bad-ass brother.
