  • @8010cookie In America, almost anything is possible. You don't have to be born into a farming family. What I would do is work for a farmer as a farm hand for a while, to gather some knowledge, then eventually acquire some land and borrow some equipment. You have to start small. It all requires a tremendous amount of dedication.

  • This must be in alberta?

  • @Brick663

    No. Virginia, USA

  • @fuelfarmer Cool! I didnt realise they grew canola in that area of the states ! I assumed they only grew it in Montanna/ and the Dakotas.. What sort of yields do you see on canola it in your parts?

  • @Brick663 Not many people grow canola in our area. We grow it for our own use. Our best crop was 58 bu. per acre, and we are still learning how to grow this crop.

  • @fuelfarmer Good for you guys! The average yield here (Saskatchewan, Canada) is anywhere from 40-70 bu. per acre. Be on the lookout for it this year alot of acres didnt get planted in canada due to a cool wet spring so i think the price is going to skyrocket! Cool video and keep on trucking bud have a good spring down there
