  • Maybe it was just one BIG multiple vortex tornado, and these people were in its center.

  • Der purdy aren't dey

  • danm, can u say, weather hates u.....

  • holy shit...

  • UAV IS AIR BORNE!

  • is this what was referred to as the lazbuddie event?

  • Wow, that's a lot of landspouts! O__O

  • aww 0:16 "is that a tornado?" little kid probably had a heart attack

  • indeed, but they arent rare, in my country this is the heaviest type of wirlwinds we have and they ar pretty common in the late summer autumn

  • i saw this on eye of the storm lol an english weather program with richard somink from the richard and judy show!

  • Holy crap! I remember seeing this on the news about 14 years ago!!! That image has been stuck in my head ever since! Wow!

  • Omg!!!

  • Thats insane lol, 6 damn landspouts/tornadoes at once!

  • the poor kid was freeking out. ; (

  • wow, like the day after tomorrow

  • nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why the heck would you let your kid outside of that van.

  • Let alone two! But still, 6 tornadoes out there at the same time? You've got some nice footage out there!

  • all the spouts were off to one direction so the turbulence was not overhead. Those are landspouts, not really actual tornados as most of us think of them. I've been walking before at the park; watching actual tornados drop in the distance & just keep walking because they're headed in a direction far off & perpendicular to my area, plus they're little and not dangerous. You know when they're dangerous & time to get indoors, trust me. These are more akin to giant dust devils.

  • Landspouts are considered tornadoes.

  • @dragonridley Only for warning purposes, since the NWS doesn't want to assume the liability in case they don't call in a warning for a landspout and it pushes somebody over and they bump their knee.

Landspouts are virtually harmless and have no formation or structural features in common with a real tornado. They are totally different kinds of vortexes. I also don't know of anybody ever being killed by a landspout, as they rarely exceed 70 mph.

  • @Bullzeye95

I have heard of landspouts doing F3 damage.

  • @dragonridley Believe it or not there was ONE landspout that actually became an F5! It was the infamous Jarrel, Texas tornado in 1997. I saw on TV footage of its earlier stage. It had no wall cloud, and the landspout was clearly spinning incredibly fast. It must have been fueled through unusually & entirely different means.

  • @Cellmate412162

It might not have had a visible, but it was still associated with the mesocyclone of a supercell, which means it was not a landspout. The apparent lack of a wall cloud was probably due the the fact that the supercell that produced that tornado had a very unusual structure.

  • @dragonridley Oh, I get it now. Thanks for the info.

  • Wow ur good @ noing info on this stuff. U plan on b-in a chaser?

  • @evanm51yahoo

Thank you. And yes, I do plan to a chaser.

  • O cool cuz I wanna b a chaser 2. I'v bin in2 tornadoes sinss I wuz in thuh 4rth grade! But thuh thing is, I liv in Southern Cali4nia so I'v never seen a tornado b4 in my life yet. But even tho I haven't seen 1, I'v dun sum research on em sinss then and still plan 2 moov 2 Oklahoma 2 strt my career. May-B wee can both team up and chase em! :D

  • @evanm51yahoo The Central Valley near Fresno gets weak tornadoes, so you're not totally in a tornado-free area.

  • @evanm51yahoo - Hawthorne, CA had a bad one in 1966. Look up THE TORNADO PROJECT online; you can see the tornado history of counties in California since 1950.

  • Because they are at least a mile to two miles away from the spouts, moreplus the level of danger from these less severe phenomena is considerably low.

  • LOL 0:38

  • wow

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this video. This is the first time I have seen it.
