Actually "anime" may generally mean a reference to Japanese shows but actually it's just a short form of "animation" which this show technically is. Though yes more people would probably refer to it as a "cartoon".

FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! i had some fond memories with donkey kong back in those good old 90's, although i only saw a few episode of this show on tv,(6 episodes i believe)i still loved the show because i was a die hard donkey kong fan, fond memories with the video game i also enjoyed as well.
