  • LOVE Q-tip!!!!!!!! Always Stayin Chill

  • Q-tip and craig mack this track stay on floor

  • classick!

  • I know Dilla spoke on some issues between him and Tip when it came to production...some tracks were credited under The Ummah and I think the issue was that Dilla felt he did not get credit for it since Tip was known at The Ummah. Regardlss this beat was def made by Q-Tip. Tip around the early to mid 90's was known to make some nice beats such as "One Love" by Nas.

  • @HOAXone This is definitely a Q-tip beat...Dilla said that people on the outside kept thinking that Q-tip was creating the beats under the Ummah, but most of the beats were done by Dilla, or as a production unit. Not saying you thought this man....but many people mistakely were saying Tip was jackin beats from Dilla or stealing credit, which isn't true

  • @bigTforreal i FEEL YA...A LOT DON'T KNOW HE (Q-TIP) PRDOCUED HALF OF MOBB DEEP's "THE INFAMOUS ALBUM", ON THAT ALBUM..LOOK 4 THE ABSTRACT..HMM???

  • I'm glad Q-Tip is getting his props as a producer..I always thought of him as one of the best hip hop producers in the game..and many people never knew that Tip was a dope producer. I'm glad he did tracks with other artist back in the early-mid 90s to display his production skills

  • '94 was one of the greatest years for hip hop!

  • One of the besgt remixes of all time. I remember when this came out, and everybody thought it was a Pete Rock Remix. Nah, Q Tip on the beat........timeless

  • @1Savioso1 Jay Dee had NOTHING to do with Lyrics to Go (as far as I know.) The Ummah was created in 1996 where Jay Dee had a huge influence on most of the tracks on Beats, Rhymes, and Life.

  • @ssaleem92

Well u dont sound so sure. Im sure that I like them both equally as producers. Dilla is no longer with us and forever will be a legend

  • @1Savioso1 Well I don't think Dilla should be considered as a legend. Very few people heard of him before he died. What was the first Dilla-related song you listened to? And you know that he was once called Jay Dee right? I'm asking this because there's a lot people these days who never heard of Dilla until 2006 and they're all now wearing "J Dilla Changed My Life" t-shirts, which is pretty sad. And if you hear Lyrics to Go, it's clearly obvious that he didn't produce that.

  • @ssaleem92 The first Dilla related track for me was "1nce Again" and "Word Play" ssaleem92, of course i wasnt all pumped and exited that they were dilla tracks at the time, it was all ATCQ for me period.

A lot of Jay Dee's work is not on paper.. and hardly got on credits on albums and if he did, it was J. Yancey. People are just discovering that he produced a lot of their favorite Hip Hop tracks, hence the "Dilla saved my Life" shit. I Dont even own one of those shirts. However,

  • I am considering on of those "Deelicious Vinyl Years" t- shirts.

  • @1Savioso1 yeah, for him not to get credit for a lot of songs (especially Janet Jackson's Got Til It's Gone) is really bizarre and it doesn't matter if Jay Dee was a young star, he should've received some sort of credit. At least he received credit for the stuff he did on the Pharcyde album "Labcabincalifornia." And those Vinyl Years shirts look pretty awesome. On a side note, I was listening to Dilla's last few albums and to me it could've been the sound for mainstream hip hop today.

  • @1Savioso1 NO Bruh...you should do your homework!!! Homeboy!! Dilla didnt even know them then!! What are u talking about and with such cocky confidence!! You failed and you liiiied!!!

  • @TheKidstarj

To keep it real 'Bruh'.. I don't remember how I ended up in here, cuz I don't listen to whack ass Craig Mack. Whatever, if Tip produced this good for him, I got love for Tip. Not his best work.

But you know it all, since you are devoted deciple of Kanye's "Good Music"

With his all-star sell out team.

  • @1Savioso1 WTF are you talking about?!! u dont even know me how you gone call me a GOOD music diciple....I see your a PUTS groupie...well those are my boys ..dont speak on shit you dont know about!

  • dilla is nice but lets not act like he did all of tribes beats dlilla got classic music just hope he don't get that dead rapper cult following bandwagon fans artist seem to get when they dead.

  • @ProductOfThe80s90s P didy is gay for leaving CRACIG MACKK FUCK P-Didy now didy is suck Rick Ross Dick like a BOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    Real Hip Hop Baby

  • Q-tip produced this track...Tip said that he met Dilla in 95...People, don't hate on Tip..Q-tip was a known and recognized producers well before Dilla. J-Dilla is the man too! However give Tip his credit!!

  • @bigTforreal tip didnt meet dilla in 95 :S

  • @bigTforreal Besides they were friends, it's all good respect and good music what we're talking about here.

  • @bigTforreal Q-Tip is also one of the main reasons for De La Soul, Black Sheep, Jungle Brothers, & the group the Busta was in because all together they make up one super group with A Tribe Called Quest included........they were all actually friends in highschool which is why so many of them appear in each others videos. :)

  • @bigTforreal Word !!!

  • No comment- Just listening - Pure Art.

  • I paid £8 for this remix in 1994 from HMV in CD format. This would be in anyone's Top 10 remixes of all time. The beat is infectious which is one way to describe it

  • I have two of these 12inchs still in plastic. Can you say CLASSIC

  • q tip remixes are butter

  • One of the most underrated hiphop tracks ever! Definately a hiphop classic and waaaay better than the original version as featured on Mack's debut album. Props to ATQC and Craig Mack!

  • even though tip did other remixes i think this was his best one...love this song..and he keep his mack's signature sound in it...sick

  • First heard this in '94. The beat has always stuck in my head.

  • This was the remix.

The original was produced by that guy from RIF

  • The original was produced by Easy mo bee one of the greatest producers especially in the 90's in my opinion though the remix of this track is actually nicer the original, but that''s just me.

  • i forgot how dope tip was at producing

considering he produced most of tribe anyway

  • this track is 1 of the greatest all time hip hop tune s of all time

  • I loved this track and still do!! The beat is monster and Mack ate it up!!

  • love Craig mack.......... Stupid-stanck-futeristic-funk -flow!!!! Boyyyyyyyyyyy

    AHHHHHHHHHH HUhhhhhhhhhh

  • The shit is DOPE!

  • Dude... I just listened to the original and I was like, "This ish is STILL hot after all these years!" But the remix w/ Q-Tip is the one that stuck with me from when I was growing up. So I come here to listen to it and I'm like... "WHOOOO!! Yeeeeah, that's my joint!!" The energy of this beat is so drastically different than the original. Definitely one of the best remixes in rap history. Craig Mack is the most underrated emcee of all-time.

  • I completely agree with you, I love this and grew up with it, too, all that hip-hop from like '89-97, that's the classic years, for me.

  • NY raw finest sound over here

  • luv this trackkkkkkk

  • craigmac get down rythm just does what it does no stop this all time hip hop no1 .. did i say get down or did he ,,,, no doubt just get down , then tribe cal quest justs get down

  • I just about lost my mind when I ran across this!! Had a flashback right back to my college days!!! We use to rap over and over to the music to this. Pure NYC sound here. MAN!!!! What is this junk they keep pushing down our ears today???

I keep laughing because sooooooo many people don't know the difference between a beat and Rhythm. It's the Rhythm that people fall in love with, not the beat. If it were just the beat, then it would be kinda boring people:)

  • wow. you're so smart and knowledgeable when it comes to music. boy, i wish i were you. actually, im kidding. the "beat" that people speak of nowadays obviously isn't the actual beat of the song. it's just a slang term for the overall rythm and style of the song. i would think that someone of your intelligence could realize that people weren't actually talking about the beat of the song when they reffered to the "beat"

also, this song is the shit

  • Word! lol

  • Sheesh they don't make remixes like they use to aye.

  • Nique ça mère le dirty side et le crunk vive le hip hop Old School G-Funk

  • one of the best songs from Mack and one of the best remixes from back in the day q-tip got it on point...

  • Man im lovin youtube today!! Findin ALLLLL my old school remixes that I havent heard in YEARSSSSSSSSS. Big up Tip for killin this track

  • There's something so haunting about the beat. It draws you in and so reminiscent of that mid 90's hip-hop/jazz fusion that I miss so much.

  • this is so smooth and soulful. personally i think hip-hop and jazz mixed together makes a beautiful sound. i'm only 13 but i plan to major in music, right now i'm listening to my favorite old skool artist to use that creativity that was lost for such a long time, put in new skool music but use more of the old flavor.

  • do you your thing .. Very mature for 13. This is quality so you defo got ear for good music . If you look hard a few artists use jazz well within HipHop

  • holy shit this is hot! man, that nigga tip is a trip.

  • wow this is amazing

  • rap music will never ever be this real again ever! I miss the early and mid nineties hip hop.I REMEMBER when you had to be full of life and art to rock the mic! We should all get toghether and kill all of the rappers today and bring back real artists! COMMERCIALISM AND CORPORATE GREED KILLED HIP HOP!

  • The illuminati killed it man. the men that own the music industry are all devil worshippers only out for money and greed. What makes a culture means nuthin to dem unless its in their financial interests.
