  • @chainlinkdreams Boer goats, but try to get a carcass in between 25 and 30 pounds. BTW by the time a live goat is skinned, gutted, and decapitated it's lost 50% of it's weight, so you are looking at a 50/60 pound goat while it's alive.

  • another good way to cook them is i have a box thats made of plywood with a sheet metal top the goat lays on a rack inside the lid goes on and you build a fire on top now this takes a while and some practice cause you cant see it cooking so its hard at first to get the fire just right but when its done the meat just falls of the bone and its juicy and delicious

  • good vid i usually cut the sternum and break the ribs at the spine so that they open and lays flat its a little less awkward and its easy to cook on the grill

  • i wish i knew you man oh man that looks delicious,,wow i once cooked a small lamb did the mediterainian way thyme rosemary ,,but we left the skin on just shaved and burned the skin then put the rub under the skin with feta and other stuff,,butter and reduced balsamic vin and white wine reduced ,,if you want,,im a cook i love to share recipes just ask <<soups and sauces are my speciality
