I shot a helper set this past weekend in Altoona (I went to Railfest). The SD40-2's Leslie sounded just like this. Unfortunately the camera was on 'PAUSE' until the locos were on the crossing :(
That's when they where running excursions up and down with what is now the essex steam train locomotive, and the U34CH's horns became out of tune often.
Also found this out, my dad was on the bridge whose shadow you see in the video. There were alot of people on the bridge and Tom Nemath's arm was in his shot of the steamer. Tom Nemath is the editor of Railpace Magazine. Small world, huh?
