This album came out when I was in 6th or 7th grade.

Her album is the first CD I had that was so good, when words like "Adagio","undulate", and "contusion" popped up in the songs, I actually cared to go look them up in the dictionary. Actually no album I had at that age was like that lol damn she was good.

Am I the only that loves this video...? It's so bare bones minimalist and it just lets the song shine through. Its' also one big character study. I love the nuances and facial expressions of the people. I think that compliments the sensuality of the song very well.

This is an awesome song. When it came out along with the rest of the album Tidal, during my high school years , the words painted the most amazing images, Ms. Apple lying a bed that becomes a spider web waiting for a spider. Her having a heart contusion, etc.

But this video is so 90s (generally). Choppy, no metaphor, no theatricality. Just many obviously glaring gratifying images assembled together... I understand a music vid as a vehicle for a song... this song deserves a Lincoln over a Pinto.
