'Jaded' and 'In Blue' are my 2 favorite Non-single tracks on Debbie's marvelous album "M.Y.O.B.". They have influence of blues, jazz and r'n'b which makes them even more special. As a whole, that album was extremely underrated
whenever I hear this song, it takes me away to another place. the great thing about Deborah is that even a song like this, which has a negative emotion at its core (who wants to be jaded?), can make you feel good about a negative emotion. know what I mean? Sometimes you need some angry Alanis but I prefer Deborah to deal with things rationally.
@sunny631 glad u like...personally I think it is Gibson's most unique piece...she gets on a very different level here...reminds me of a modern Melissa Manchester or even Carly Simon...just a very adult comtemporary feel and it is very nice and I hope she ventures this way on another ballad
@sunny631 very much so....i think In Blue was inspired by her time in Cinderella...a show I wish I could have seen her do! Gibson has been my idol since I was 13....so I have been a fan since the word go :-)
