hi blue..are u a doctor? all your patients doing it without sedation and pain killer? I am more afraid of side affects of sedation than colonoscopy it self.

I just had one. Trust me you want to be sedated. I came out of the sedation twice because it hurt. I remember saying, hey that really hurts. Later, when he'd finished the sedation went away but you have a lot of gas that also hurts. Some of it was way high like in my small intestine. My belly was sore for 24 hours afterwards. The worst part for me was coming out of the sedation during the procedure when he was really pushing that thing up high around a corner.
