  • For all you clowns who dis the kids on this vid, I'm sure you all were perfect angels on aircraft as kids right??? STFU already.

  • its not a 737

  • tell the kid to shut his pie hole

  • 1:30-1:43 WE GO UPP AND THEN DOOOWN

  • Now I know why I NEVER fly through Orlando- fucking whiny, blathering kids!

  • how do you know this aircraft was trying to avoid a Thunderstorm, how do you know thats not just the planned SID

  • @joshuan542 Cause, who in their mind flies through that?

  • @DeadlyInertia a pilot following SID's, Planned departures, ATC Commandments thats who.... dont forget they are trained pofessionals they know what they are doing... if it wasnt safe, then why would they hae done it eh?

  • @joshuan542 True, but I still think, he avoided it.

  • that is just unbelievably beautiful. my god.

  • impressive!

  • lol....that lightning closeup was fake - no camera glare or sudden pop of thunder??....otherwise, cool takeoff.

  • 0:50 listeen closely, you can hear a waring siren in backround

  • make that kid shut up

  • I've been there - diverted to Macon, GA on the way to ATL (after flying in circles over TN for about 45 min). Sat there for about an hour then did a fast take off to get out of there.

They couldnt get above the storm as ATL was so close, so they flew just under the clouds. It was bumpy and lightning was striking around. Def one of my fav flights.

  • That was pretty close thunderstorm it almost hit the jet you guys were pretty lucky there

  • @pietrovaldes Planes get hit by lightning all the time. Each airliner gets hit once a year on average. They are designed with this in mind, so being hit by lightning is generally no more than an inconvenience in terms of having to paint over the scorch mark. Source: MSNBC: Lightning strikes of aircraft rarely disastrous; 1 June 2009.

  • nature fail of destroying ppl

  • woah, it's so exciting to see a lightning sooo close :) :D

  • 2:10 OMG that was close but freaky lighting nice capture btw

  • I never had children on a plane everytime i go. Wow that is a downpour it's awesome video

  • God i hate children on planes.

  • @Sooksawaspakdee961 it is FAA regulations that at least one annoying child is aboard every flight! I know; I'm a pilot.

  • @Sooksawaspakdee961

  • WOW you really rocketed out of there!!

  • Was 2:09 lightning!?!

  • 2:10 = HOLY CRAP!

  • must have been a bumpy ride through those clouds

  • That kid in the background was hysterical, lol.

  • i dunno people are hatin on this vid so much. very nice man. i luved it

  • Is this DFW? ;)

  • no way its fake!!!

the kid should cry if it not was

  • I'd have to disagree with your comment. I believe, as usual for a fairly busy airport such as KMFO, that you took off that quickly to move out of the way for approaching air traffic behind you. You'll hear it all the time on United Channel 9 (I know you're flying Delta though). Great video none the less. You got a good spot next to the engine. Listen to it pure, lol. Also, I too am curious at what 2:10 was all about. An addin or you really caught something and edited it in a pause?

  • WTF! 2:10

  • That was only lightning striking the wing. It doesn't hurt anything while flying, only when grounded.

  • where is this?
