Ob er damals so genannt wurde, weiß ich nicht-ich weiß nur, daß er von den Amerikanern ins Leben gerufen wurde.Das währe mir eine Große Freude, da es mit der Lebensgeschichte einer meiner Brüder zu tun hat.

My family was in Germany during the bombing raids. I have been told by my mother and my aunt that a radio announcer would come on and warn the listeners with the following; "Coo-Coo-Coo-Coo".  This was meant that there was an air raid. Do you have a copy of that? I am interested because I wasn't born yet and because I wanted to hear what my family heard during those times. Thank you very much. And thank you for this video also.

@Nguli34689 i wanted to give you a link to hear that Kuckuck sign but youtube doesnt accept. It was Radio Wien in Austria, as far as i know, who warned listeners by a Kuckuck's call of a forecoming air raid.

In the Russian movie Burnt by the Sun, there is a scene where the main character, a handsome NKVD agent, gets up in the morning and does jumping jacks to the Radio Moscow get fit show. Strength through Joy was a campaign in both Adolphland and Josephland.

Which lord haw haw do you refer? the one which most people refer was not William Joyce but actually Wolf Mitler! Mitler was the one with the upper class English accent whereas Joyce was the one with the nasal twang associated with a broken nose. Mind you the British pulled out all the stops to hang Joyce, an American born naturalised German, who fled Ireland for informing on the IRA, due to the inconvienence of once having a British passport!

His family was driven from Galway for 2 reasons,having a brit passport was not one of them-as a 15 y o Joyce served with the Black and tans and so had to leave ,also there was a mix up with his father and another man named Michael Joyce,the other Michael Joyce had betrayed a Catholic Priest to the Black and Tans who was murdered by them-mistakenly Williams fathers house was burnt down by the fenians-interestingly enough William Joyce became a Catholic on the eve of his execution

All the audio music I employed are old historical 78 rpm records in my collection. A lot of those vintage records can be found in flee markets like ebay

Is this a CD you have? I have 3 peoples radios 2 DKE 1938 Volksemphangers and one VE-301...I would buy any CD music you have ..for a copy..I live in the U.S. In California. Please let me know! Thanks!
