@ekstc it's not entirly correct, but it's pretty close. Most americans viewed WW2 as "not our problem" since it didn't affect us(or so they believed), that is until Jap. attacked us and gave the average U.S. citizen a reason to want to go to war.

the russians ended the war in europe by liberating berlin. the war in the pacific (USA vs Japan) was still in affect. We then ended the war in the pacific by dropping 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and was bombing Tokyo as well. We were gonna drop another atomic bomb on Tokyo but they surrendered. But im sure everyone already knew that :)
