@ratlover35 You have to take hormones for the rest of your life yes, almost all changes are permanent but it's very hard to pass without hormones so pretty much everyone does it. Not everybody takes surgery though. If you went to a doctor/gender specialist saying you were trans but didn't want to take hormones i'd think they'd be kind of suspicious about how serious you were about transitioning.
