  • Any Law person, when they pull over a car, Arnt they suppost to be on the right side of the car?

  • Wouldn't want to be the person that hit him........or at least get caught. In NC they'll hang you by your fucking balls for shit such as this. I don't see why it's such a problem for people to slow down or change lanes when they see a patrol car on the shoulder. I change lanes almost always when I see anything parked on the shoulder, trooper or not. You never know when somebody might open a car door, or if they're walking by a car they can trip and fall into oncoming traffic.

  • Damn, was that a Chrysler PT Cruiser that hit him?! The guys holster flew off of his belt! That's got to hurt. I always slow down for emergency vehicles. I always slow down and move over for pedestrians bicycling or jogging in the middle of the street while that's their carelessness and they shouldn't be on the street, that's why there's a sidewalk or pedestrian path.

  • @GTMustangRider That wasn't his holster. That was the cruiser side mirror.

  • It comes down to basically using a little common sense, sadly many are lacking in this department.

  • I know your supposed to move over and everything but's let's be real! In a perfect world everybody would move over and there would b light traffic and everybody will be driving with 2 hands on the wheel and so on. But you know, life happens, and maybe the kids are fighting ,or the dog shit on the seat, or someone spilled taco sauce on their shirt. I'm not saying they are right but maybe they should make it a law 2 pul over at least 5-6 feet or somethin or widen lanes. N video, they on the road!

  • Honestly I feel some people really hate cops so they do this on purpose thinking they wont get caught since the officer is injured no one is going after them. But some are real accidents I do the move over law for construction trucks when they have there lights activated and are on the side of the roadway.

  • Oh my gosh! I'd like to run that idiot off the road and see how he/she likes it.

    This makes my blood boil!!!!!

  • Im a fireman, and I know how these crazy drivers are on the side of the road and I regret he got hit, but notice his head.. he gets hit.. shakes his head.. and then its like the pain hits.. id hate to fuck with him he prolly whip some ass lol

  • yes sir, i was thinkin the same thing

  • aquatic..your enforcement practices are exactly why the general public has a certain opinion of us...you would stop someone for 3 over?? And while you're spending time eating someone up for such a minor infraction, a 20 over who's passing motorists on the shoulder gets away. Use a little more common sense and the public's concern for us will escalate.

  • @jreid8231 I got over pulled in Wi. the other day for a 42 inna 35. No ticket, just a warning and a good look at a charger patrol car.

  • I believe this video is educational. To grandewavos, send your comment to Tara Zachary. Her husband was killed on 1/1/06 by someone that did not move over in Texas. By the way, I will stop you for 3 miles over the limit. Most criminals will not travel 10-15 miles over the limit. I hope you come to Texas. If we ever meet, remember to press hard, you are making 4 copies.

  • thx atleast someone understands

  • You GO!!! Someone has to stand up to these disrespecfull people!

  • Yes!! press hard make 4 copies!! ha ha ha I love it! We say that here too. The fine+court cost here is $386.00. I get a very loud WTF!!??

  • I don't believe the 10-15 miles over the speed limit is "trivial". It decreases stoping distance as people tailgate all the time. Also, if you can't move over then you are supposed to slow down and keep your left blinker on to let the cops know you are making an effort. Thank you Spanky!

  • Alot of these accidents that the move over law tries to prevent are caused by the officers pulling people over for something trivial like 10-15 mph over. These accidents are the officers fault. The move over law actually causes more danger for drivers having to change lanes quickly. This move over law is just others imposing their opinion and not accepting the risks associated with there jobs and causing more dangerous situations for the rest of us on the road. Lets repeal the move over law!

  • If more people would pay attention while driving they wouldn't have to change lanes quickly. If you watch people drive you will notice that they wait until the last second to do any kind of lane change, slow down when there is a cop in the middle, or anything else. If you are ever broke down on the side of the road with cars and trucks zooming by at a high rate of speed you could understand the move over law. It gets damn scary!!!

  • Try standing near the road at a wreck scene and have all the "gawkers" nearly miss you while you are trying to help the injured. Ain't a fun feeling having 2000 pounds of metal coming at you.
