so it's been a couple of years since i've heard this song... but still a vast improvement over the other versions... nothing against cyndi lauper, but her version really doesn't thrill me 'cause i'm not fond of her voice before she recorded "shine" but this version has a really nice bubble-gum meets trip-hop sound...

I was very sad for a while because the last time I was in drag, I was so not convincing where as I was once constantly mistaken for a woman if I just shaved. My body has become very masculine as I've gotten older, I just can't pull it off like I use to.

Yeah...I said I was being knitpicky. As an artist myself I value an honest critique more than praise. Compliments are appreciated, but a critique, is always something of true value to a striving artist. The critique doesn't have to be acted upon or even valid. I find all critiques I recieve get me thinking about how I can improve. I try to pass that gift on to other artists. How about we just express our opinions...I won't try to 'correct' your perceptions if you don't try to 'correct' mine.:-)

im sure your opinion wasnt needed for a video that already is published maybe if it was made yet and you said dont blink too much etc then it would be needed but it is already made. i see lot of music videos where people were falling off of things or laughing i wouldnt (not knowing the concept of the video)say oh my they were laughing to much or why are they keep falling off those things. each video has different concepts your not the director so you wouldnt know the concept.

I was playing with some "Cher" style vocal filters and effects, and did this little cover of "True Colors" to try them out. It sounds very "computery" on purpose, but anyway hope ya like! I'm still learning how to mix audio levels, I don't know how to EQ out a spot for the vocals so that they're not drowned in the background music yet. I use Logic on a Mac, with a keyboard and a Rhode NT1A mic.
