We stayed at one of these hotels down there it was called the Carolinian, it was a dump...but no one was able to keep it up. The place had boards and holes coming outta the walls, it was torn down about 2001 or 2002 I think. If they coulda fixed it up a little, it might of been OK.
What a shame, my family and I spent vacations there 3 different years, 1969, 1970 and 1978. I still remember the Sea Spray well, even though it has been over 30 years since I was there!
We stayed there in 1992, just as Hurricane Andrew was heading toward Florida. We loved it. Right on the beach for $50. I read a book and my wife worked on a new play. Sorry to see it go.

Sorry to see this happen. Spent many vacations with my Uncle Owen and Aunt Shirley there during the time they owned the property.
