Very difficult to determine if Leung Ting is any good or was ever any good at Wing Chun/Tsun, he built his reputation of other people, like Boztepe beating Cheung & people thinking this WT must be great. @CloudsBeyond Of course. WT is a traditional martial art. I don't think any of them train for full-contact street fights. Most wouldn't last 2 minutes. I mean many have weekly classes at each student's class (rotate...one week at one student...next week the other...so on) where they workout then EAT. :) In the end it depends what your goal is...best shape/practical...then study MMA or at least Muay Thai (w/ sparring).

The Lat Sao programs properly taught and learned have taken in account many different fighting styles and applied appropriate reponses to them. Anyone who missjudge WT against a good practionner is in for a world of troubles and pain, with jabs to the throat, knees and genitals.. This is Not a sport this is Self Defense !!!
As an ancient practionner of WT for 5 years and having tried Thaï Boxing for more than a year, Aikido for 4 years, Judo 1 year and some notion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, i can assure you that WT is almost like a science of combat standing and any serious practionner who knows better won't go to the floor in general rule, but if he does he will strike where it hurt to finish a fight ASAP

the chain punches are misunderstood and misapplied. The WC punch on needs 1 or 2 precision punches to the mid section.... when you fast chain punch 5-6 times it shows that you have no precision or power to those punches and thus you must chain punch. Place your first punch to the precise location and hold it there when you practice. that's all you need to do. when they knock your hand out follow up with the other hand and place it at the precise location.. that's it!

My friends who practise wt went to a thai box training and they were not amazed, a good wt fighter could beat a skilled thai boxer easily.And LT won every match against other styles, lots of other former martial arts experts are now student in wt.

Wing Tsun in Europe is very different than in most other countries. European WT IS stretched out. As an example, in Hungary and Poland they teach it just like they do in Hong Kong. Lat Sao is good to some extend but it is also bad because it teaches some habits that you have to unlearn later.
Shoto WT is very money orientated silly amounts to get grades or learn dummy/ knives form etc. Then add Escrima & Chi Kung grades if you want them too. Also they have STRETCHED the system to make you keep paying & have included rubbish like Lat Sao etc to give you more to learn, you could study WT 20 years & stil never learn it all, normal Wing Chun 4/5 years you can learn it all. WT is more a con to make money & bit like a cult, people in it really believe WT is best even better than MMA.
CloudsBeyond I'm a practitioner of Leung Ting's WT but I admit that in WT more is based on money, in spite of the taoist principles. But you must admit that leung ting is realy a great master and I think that a day probably Kernspech will be better of LT. Very difficult to determine if Leung Ting is any good or was ever any good at Wing Chun/Tsun, he built his reputation of other people, like Boztepe beating Cheung & people thinking this WT must be great. @CloudsBeyond Of course. WT is a traditional martial art. I don't think any of them train for full-contact street fights. Most wouldn't last 2 minutes. I mean many have weekly classes at each student's class (rotate...one week at one student...next week the other...so on) where they workout then EAT. :) In the end it depends what your goal is...best shape/practical...then study MMA or at least Muay Thai (w/ sparring).

As an ancient practionner of WT for 5 years and having tried Thaï Boxing for more than a year, Aikido for 4 years, Judo 1 year and some notion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, i can assure you that WT is almost like a science of combat standing and any serious practionner who knows better won't go to the floor in general rule, but if he does he will strike where it hurt to finish a fight ASAP

He thought she was about to kill herself so i doubt he stop to think i might change this technique in case she gets hurt. If u do WC / WT or any martial art u should know u train to do things unconsciously as u wont have time to think when u need it, even when ur grand master ur brain doesnt suddenly become a computer that can process info in mill sec, u do what uv trained to do.

the chain punches are misunderstood and misapplied. The WC punch on needs 1 or 2 precision punches to the mid section.... when you fast chain punch 5-6 times it shows that you have no precision or power to those punches and thus you must chain punch. Place your first punch to the precise location and hold it there when you practice. that's all you need to do. when they knock your hand out follow up with the other hand and place it at the precise location.. that's it!

My friends who practise wt went to a thai box training and they were not amazed, a good wt fighter could beat a skilled thai boxer easily.And LT won every match against other styles, lots of other former martial arts experts are now student in wt.

Wing Tsun in Europe is very different than in most other countries. European WT IS stretched out. As an example, in Hungary and Poland they teach it just like they do in Hong Kong. Lat Sao is good to some extend but it is also bad because it teaches some habits that you have to unlearn later.

Shoto WT is very money orientated silly amounts to get grades or learn dummy/ knives form etc. Then add Escrima & Chi Kung grades if you want them too. Also they have STRETCHED the system to make you keep paying & have included rubbish like Lat Sao etc to give you more to learn, you could study WT 20 years & stil never learn it all, normal Wing Chun 4/5 years you can learn it all. WT is more a con to make money & bit like a cult, people in it really believe WT is best even better than MMA.

CloudsBeyond I'm a practitioner of Leung Ting's WT but I admit that in WT more is based on money, in spite of the taoist principles. But you must admit that leung ting is realy a great master and I think that a day probably Kernspech will be better of LT. I'm curious to see a fight between LT and the other grandmaster of the other wing tsun (or wing chun) styles.

All other students of Yip Man know Ting talks BS & was never a secret last closed door student of Yip Man, only now Ting has lots of money they don't want lawsuits speaking out about it. Even people like Emin Boztepe wil tell you Ting was never a closed door student of Yip Man & he's seen all the evidence, he still rates Ting's Wing Tsun very highly of course. Ting's wild tales are as fanciful as William Cheung's.

Dnl you're right just ask his girlfriend & check his recent jail sentence in HK, he's a real tough guy alright. If you believe the WT fairytale that Ting was direct student of Yip Man you'll believe in Cinderella! Photos exist of him at Yip Man's funeral clearing wearing an armband stating he was NOT a direct student, that is fact any non biased historian will confirm. But now he has lot of money, Yip's real stusents aren't keen to speak up too much about it.

Ur an idiot, Ur correct about LT being accused of battering, but that is still under investigation, & the article which I am sure U might ve read through di parties & not the original article found in the sister branch of "The Standard", still states that there are 2 parts to the whole story, hence the investigation.

As for you being an idiot, there are too many pics of Yip Man himself teaching LT, & way to many facts backing up LT as the one who led the Ving Tsun Athletic Association under YIp's approval. Also get your facts on the whole "black arm band" issue straight, as that means the generations of students. LT was a closed door student & did not belong to any formal classes like the rest of his si hings,.... Regards

actually, I recall him preferring a title like Si Bak Gong (depending on your generation), vs. Si-Jo, which was fine for Yip Man. Yeah yeah it wasn't "invented" by him either. All technical bickering.

Why is this video titled Sijo? Sijo in Chinese means the founder of a style. Wing Chun was not founded by him. It's over 300 years old. I am so sick of Leung Ting's bullshit. One look at him and you know he's a fucking asshole bullshitter!

i agree with laimonasc in the idea that looks to sweet,but that's the way leung ting devised the system so with the chisao one can transfer the power from the legs into the fists,besides all power comes from the bodyweight that moves in,wich is suitable for less stronger people.Isn't that the original idea when wing chun was created?i think the answer is yes.You don;t have to look strong in order to be strong.Take care

Sorry guys, Leung Ting can't be called Si-Jo.....Jo means ancester. Please look up the Wing Chun kuen's family tree, see who is the Jo. Leung Ting can only be one of the si-fus in the whole Wing Chun world....or, he is the Jo in his enterprise.

Only Yip Man's branch is "Chant Spring" Wing/Ving Tsun/Chun. The 1st Association formed by Yip Man, Leung Ting is the main teacher of the Kungfu class, while Yip Chun is the accountant. Yip Chun start to learn the 1 st form, and call Ting the big brother.i.e "Ting Kall"

Leung Thug taught at the association without Ip Mans approval. Leung Thug is a Hay Si Mit Jo son of a Thug. Ip Chun sucks ass and loves money. He befriended with Leung Thug not because Leung Thug respected Ip Man, but because of money. Both are disgrace to Wing Chun. I can tell you are from the Thug lineage. You're correct about Máday si-fu, Linas is Lithuanian though. The report was made at a local seminar by Leung Ting, and of course the EEWTO chief instructor was also peresent. Lithuanian is what you're looking for then.
