What kind of focusing screen did you use? I see the square in the center, there must be some with out any markings. Did you make a vibrating one, wonder if that would get rid of the square?
hi, i in a bit trouble - im building a dof adapter myself. Actually it is finished but only groundglass is missing (focusign screen).The one in the shop is really expensive for small piece of glass so i was wondering if you could give me some advice what should i use as focusing screen?
Thats exactly right. I actually just use my canon lenses for my XSi (2.8 18-55 and a 4.0 55-200). I built my own adapter for like $10 but professional ones will run you around $2,000 without lenses. Just do a search on 35mm DOF adapter on youtube.
What I have right now is an adapter that lets you use any slr lenses on my camera by connecting the lens to a black tube and projecting the image on a focusing screen. Then my camera just focuses on the screen and records that. (Thats what that small square is in the middle of the picture.)
