The Rock is one of my favourite movies of all time, I've enoyed the hell' out of Transformers,The Island and Armageddon and badoys 1 & 2. My argument is that people like Bay simply don't produce their best work or they cannot simply due to no talent whereas there "are" others that could do far better. Franchised movies are so common now that it's got to saturation point. People don't demand more and have settled.

Just saw the third one. Was so bad I had to fight to stay awake during the last half-hour. Plus we now know he got lazy and recycled footage from his other film The Island. Also love the way they're all saying "making this fim was huge, it's so huge, the scope is huge".....cos it isn'tt. 95% of the action never actually happened, it was made by some undersexed geeks on their laptops. And still, all three films were somehow beyond the realms of how bad modern cinema is.

A real action director wouldn't squander the Transformers franchise in a deluge of obnoxious characters, scripts lacking any plot even for a sci-fi film, and all running at least 45 mins too long. Compared to bona-fide action classics like Terminator 2 or Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bay's films are just sugar-coated turds.
I liked the part were Starscream and Megatron killed an insane amount of Autobots and won the war for Cyber..... oh wait Starscream was killed by A HUMAN and Megatron was in the movie for 3 minutes maybe. The worst part of it all? Everyone who is okay with it.

What we're saying is that it takes more than some explosions to make a good movie, and even as far as shut-your-brain-off summer movies go, you still have to at least put some effort into it. 1) Heros can be African American, Dutch, Caucasian American,but not Asian American;

Just saw the third one. Was so bad I had to fight to stay awake during the last half-hour. Plus we now know he got lazy and recycled footage from his other film The Island. Also love the way they're all saying "making this fim was huge, it's so huge, the scope is huge".....cos it isn'tt. 95% of the action never actually happened, it was made by some undersexed geeks on their laptops. And still, all three films were somehow beyond the realms of how bad modern cinema is.

A real action director wouldn't squander the Transformers franchise in a deluge of obnoxious characters, scripts lacking any plot even for a sci-fi film, and all running at least 45 mins too long. These films have zero style and are instantly forgettable, flashy product-placement vehicles. Compared to bona-fide action classics like Terminator 2 or Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bay's films are just sugar-coated turds.

I like how all the actors are saying that are good about the movie are the words "shooting, explosions, robots, running, tons of set pieces, special affects" But they never mention words that make movies good like "writing, script, plot, dialogue, or tone." Special effects do make movies better but a movie that is all special effects isn't necessarily a good one. Think about it, yes, the exact opposite of what you would do during a Michael Bay movie. @ArkonBlade if he destroyed transformers the series would have ended right after the first movie was made. there would be no animated, no war for cybertron and no prime. plus I'm well aware of the lack of a decent story, but I nevewr saw anything mindblowing in G1's story either. all I saw was a 30 minute long toy comercial with a few cool stuff in it. it wasn't until beast wars that I noticed a decent plot and alot of drama. plus I'm well aware of the not so good plot of bay's movies.
