  • there is a moral deficit too

  • Remember? Mr. Bush already pay bail out for billions dollars to banks and other companies.

  • I think. Mr. Bush told rich people for tax break. That is not fair because middle class people have to pay tax. I think Mr. Bush allowed Rich people don't have to pay tax because of own business.

I do believe that biggest government is overspending more than we can afford.

  • taxation is not the amount of money you send to the goverment every year, but the amount of money the goverment spend.

  • Just say no to incumbents!

  • the american govt, not al-qadea will destroy america

  • Wikipedia: The United States government is currently spending at the rate of approximately $1 trillion per year for all defense-related purposes.

For 2009, the budget rose to $515.4 billion, with a total of $651.2 billion when emergency discretionary spending and supplemental spending are included. Also, add nuclear weapons research, maintenance and production $9.3 billion, which is in the Department of Energy budget, VA $33.2 billion, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, $170 billion.

  • Toyracers, you say we must "sacrifice to get out of this hole WE created." I didn't create this. I've been a quiet, responsible "sheeple" believing that our leaders, while becoming vastly rich, were guiding our country well.

They did not deserve my trust.

Repeal the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (saves $43 trillion),Cut the DoD budget in half (saves approx $500 billion/year balancing the budget),End wasteful Fed Depts.

This way we can afford tax cuts to help the middle class.

  • The DOD doesn't spend a trillion $ a year they spend about 515 billion.

You could cut the taxes on the middle class 100$ and it wouldn't cost very much. They simply don't carry very much of the Tax Burden.

  • even at 11 million thats less than 4% of the population.. take into consideration that of those 11 million most of them are employed, pay taxes...

im not saying its not a problem, im saying that they are political scapegoats that really dont impact the nation as a whole... they do however impact the smaller levels of government

  • I attended this documentary. Although an excellent film, it provides no solutions other than raising taxes, and extending retirement dates.

Our past presidents and representatives have urinated our money away, putting us in unrecoverable debt while they grew hugely rich. Will I agree to give them more tax money to squander? NO.

Its time to repeal the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan @ $43 Trillion, close many Fed Depts (dept of Edu.), close many of the 700 military bases around the world.

  • it has come down to are you a loyal american.. the only solution is to raise taxes and cut programs, not to mention reinforce our middle class to take the hit of a possible depression.. the biggest employer in America is the government, you cant just start closing departments, where will those people go?.. you would have better luck having wages stabilized by closing the class gap

  • I am a patriot. Our country is going down the wrong path. I reiterate...Its time to repeal the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan @ $43 Trillion, close many Fed Depts (dept of Edu. etc), close many of the 700 military bases around the world. Period...

  • you can eliminate the programs..but you cant eliminate job with out replacing them in the private sector... close the military bases, eliminate funding to other countries.. but you HAVE to raise taxes on the rich to pay for this MASSIVE debt..

your cost of living has gone up significantly , the value of your dollar has declined, your investment are taking a dump meaning your money isnt fluid, and unemployment is on the rise.. does having higher taxes really bother you that much...

  • Government employment, especially those in the inefficient Federal bureaucracies, are a strain on the taxpayer as they provide high paying, well insured positions. If the people employed by these departments are well qualified they will find employment elsewhere.

I haven't had a pay raise in 6 years. I have no health insurance. I am 54 years old with my elderly mother in my care. My property taxes / insurances have more than doubled due to the RE bubble. Higher taxes bother be terribly.

  • i see your point on taxes... but it sounds like you are not in the "rich" tax bracket.. i am against taxes on the middle class.. but more of us will have to sacrifice to get out of this hole that we have created..

  • You say "sacrifice to get out of this hole WE created." I didn't create this. I've been a quiet, responsible "sheeple" believing that our leadership, while they became vastly rich, were guiding our country properly.

I drive an 11 year old Taurus. I can't afford to borrow money on my house, because I can't afford to pay it back.

Our Federal Governement must be cut to the bone. I will scream "thieves" if our representatives attempt to raise taxes.

  • historically low voter turnout, look the other way policies.. dont be fooled: "we the people" created this..

the fact is that nobody is going to raise you taxes whether but you have already sacrificed the value of your home, your investments, and you car.. they cant me and you are over taxed as we are

  • no empire lasts forever,

    time to die guys,

  • I think he means that our leaders are idiots... but i kind of sounds like, from what he said, that we don't have enough? I just hope people dont get the wrong impression lol.

  • Leadership deficit? We need less leadership from the government and more individualism. Cut spending. Cut taxes. Give the power back to the people.

  • Just fire 2 million Federal workers, cut 60% of the budget and get politics out of the budget making process

  • Eliminate the military budget first. Then cut out the CIA, and other intelligence organzations. Get rid of the Departments of Energy, Homeland Security, and perhaps scrap the FBI and found a new, leaner federal law enforcement agency. Increase social security payments and then tie to to the real inflation rate, rather than the core. Stop supporting countries like Israel, Pakistan, Egypt, and Georgia...

  • oh yeah....leadership deficit....blame your leaders for your own choices...gets your parents off the hook because you were not part of the Brady Bunch....blame anyone, but yourself, for your choices

  • jil3xcharm.....our leaders have taken the money given to them, spent it until there was nothing left.... but then somehow, they still spent it and spent it... I'm not saying its not the citizens fault, it partly is, but our leaders are supposed to guide us and tell us when we are making bad choices. All the people we have saying "No, you can't do that, we don't have the money" are not being listened to by the people spending our money. We expect the money to be used properly, but it isn't...

  • agreed, Apollo. Some of us,as adult citizens, that includes our leaders, spend more than comes in, spend in careless ways. I admit, I did it until I wen't through a personal recession 8 years ago. Still trying to dig out.

  • 'One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is you end up being ruled by your inferiors.' PLATO

  • Whats the point? The US only has a 2 party system both of which are corporatized. Who you going to pick to solve the problem? George Carlin was right! "This country was bought paid for and sold a long time ago" There is no real choice for leadership. Obama is great and all but he has got alot of corporate money in his pockets.

Its sad to see such a great country fall from grace.

    Demand more from your gov't!!!!

  • I agree with you, except for the Obama part. We need someone who is honest, and does what is best for the American people. Someone who isn't constantly worried about being re-elected, and who doesn't have his/her hands in the pockets of big corporations.

Unfortunately no candidate can make it far in politics without doing one of the above.

Obama does whatever he thinks will get him elected, thats why i don't like him. An independent would be nice....

  • I will not watch this movie because it will condition the Americans to think we're in a serious crisis. This movie will be easier to convince the American public to go into a new currency system called the Amero.

  • Amero? New currency won't help.

  • That logic is not logical. It can alarm the people enough to do something.. Those who dont know whats going on will accept the Amero as it will be marketed as a 'savior' currency.

  • Yeah, and most people don't know what's going on.

  • We can hardly contain ourselves about this film. This is the one the entire nation needs to see!

  • tell me about it. It's a horror movie so most people will skip it.
