Yeah, they're really cooking with gas in terms of public face right now, infinitely more than the folks at DC, whom I don't see interviewed or getting as much media attention.
I'll be interested to see where they take this arc. I haven't been a big Marvel reader other than the important stuff. So far this has got me back reading Amazing S-man, as well as Iron Man, and some Avengers stuff. Good Job guys, can't wait to see you at San Diego Comic Con later this summer!
I have a question for Alex, Justin, or Pete if any of you read this? Do you possibly think that Bendis is writing "Secret Invasion" as sort of a backstop in the beginning to all the titles it's crossing over into? I mean for years critics have been talking bad about the crossovers that take place during big events. Right now books like "Mighty Avengers", "New Avengers", "Cap Britain and MI3" are better than they have ever been (last one a miniseries). All the books surrounding are kicking ass.
I think the death of Cap story was done and is being done quite well, I also think "One More Day" and "Brand New Day" are also being done well. Hey at least Marvel is doing different stuff, it doesn't all work but change is never easy
He acts like one more day and death of captain america were well received, they weren't and whatever happens that is going to freak us out will likely be the worst move in the storyline of the marvel universe yet.
Man, with all of the Final Crises and Secret Invasions and stupid "status quo shattering" crossovers, I'm REALLY gonna have to stick with Indie comics and the new Spider-Man cartoon...
hey dude wats up? which part are u booooooing at? or r u just boooooooing at the fact that joe Q is on the show? and remember how i joked about him bein a skrull durin OMD? creepy coincedence.
I'm glad that Marvel is still on top of the Comics industry. The OMD thing still stings a whole lot and BND is just salt in the wound so I just can't like this guy. Here's hoping SI#4 is worthwhile, though. Loving Cap right now, and hoping they don't screw him in Secret Invasion.
I'm enjoying the Crisis of Infinite Skrulls but I hope we don't see a repeat of OMD with another character. There's only so many bad retcons one can take. Meanwhile we get to play Where's Skrulldo?
That little crack about OMD in the beginning is what gets on my nerves about Joe Q regarding OMD/BND. He knows people are pissed off about OMD and does crap like this to intentionally agitate its detractors.
Quesada is to clever. One More Day is just something to lead up to something to lead up to something else. Xavin or Hulking is definatly a skrull. Well I mean a skrull as a skrull.
the one thing that made me scared was when he talked about post secret invasion, what could marvel do next? maybe all the heros die and a guy steps up with the armor of iron man ,caps shield and thors hammer calling himself the avenger.
And he is the only one left to defend agianst evil :O
or maybe thats just my nigtmaers, but the fantasy hero of mine i really liked, please make him marvel,:D
Yeah, the angle they are going with is that Tony Stark is a skrull and all the recent happenings (Civil War, S.H.I.E.L.D., etc) have been set for a while and that it wasnt really "Iron man" who was behind it at all....but rather a skrull working directky for the Skrull Queen. If thats the case...its the weakest and DUMBEST move Marvel ever made. I see alot of longtime fans giving Marvel the finger over the next year or two due to this. I very well will be one of them.
Ok so as I saw there was a new video today I was happy and smiled. When I saw in the title Joe Quesada my smile turned into my teeth grinding. But you know what, I saw his charm, he made me laugh, and I might not hate him as much anymore. I might even be able to tolerate him now. *gasp*
I knew joe quesada was a skrull!! why? because only a skrull would f*** up spidey as much as he did.

LOL! I'd love to have been at that meeting.
"There's a Skrull invasion."
everyone blinks
"Brian? What the hell are you talking about?"
"Um, the Skrull invasion that I've been seeding for the last five years?"
everyone stares, slack-jawed
"When were you planning on telling us about this?"
Bendis: "Ummmmm....today?"
Still, it's a mark of how much power BMB has behind the scenes, I think.
hanshotfirst1138 3 years ago
Has he lost a lot of weight? He looked a lot different when I saw him on the Daredevil DVD.
hanshotfirst1138 3 years ago
Yeah, a LOT of weight. I almost didn't recognize him. He looks older too, maybe stress? I don't know, I hope he's okay.

So are the skrulls responsible for M-Day...or did they just get "lucky"?

My money's on the lucky. Or Dr. Strange's a skrull, that way the skrulls are reponsible.
