  • This song is sung in a rural scene of the wonderful 1988 movie "a summer story", starring Imogen Stubbs and James Wilby, and may have inspired the fine musical score by the late Georges Delarue.

English not being my native tongue, I may be wrong, but I think it there goes: flowers of May .. as she brightens the blue sea waves ... though parted afar from my darling I dream of her everyday .. (and indeed ) ... the love of her heart I crave.

  • I prefer the line endings

........ as it touches the deep sea wave

........ the love of her heart I crave

I don't think 'seaway' would have any meaning for Irish Folk

  • Have to agree flann.

  • In the Stables again.

  • That was very good, i enjoyed it, thanks.
