Obviously there is a replacement and its called forced induction ;) and that allows this 1.8 liter 4 cyl motor beat up on a 8+ liter V10. I dont get why you dont understand that it doesnt matter who has done what to their car or not done to their car. Hell I have a FWD sedan that has 450hp and 450 ft lbs that will run mid 12s with no prep. You race to race and thats it...

ahh that's because V8s' don't need to rev to 9000 / they aren't made to rev that high. The more pistons an engine has the lower the redline, the less pistons an engine has the higher the redline (generally speaking).
