Hello! great Job!... I have a 1 year old lab and is learning fast... one question: do you use three differents whistle signals? 1 blow means SIT, three blows means go and get it?... do you use the whistle signals and
hands signals together? is there any doc I can read to learn more about how to teach with the whistle signal? TY
It's my understanding that Labs are very slow to mature, like about three years .. this means you have a dog that is still a puppy in its head for about 3 years.. and a big (70-80) pound one at that. But do have patience. My brother's lab finally outgrew it and became an outstanding family member. :)
why hasnt this guy gotten his own tv show yet.

@aleashacasaretto you will never see a good trainer utilizing a harness.

No good trainer would put a harness on a dog.

What kind of collar is it? shock, vibration, buzz what?

This dog is already trained to respond to the whistle, what does this have to do with a shock collar?

Dogs are safest and most comfortable wearing a nylon harness, not a collar, when out walking.

labs r very smart dogs, it just takes time, and depending on what age u start training it, it will learn really fast, the younger the better.
