"Dattebayo has NO actual meaning and is just tagged to the end of narutos sentences, its just like his dialect. Naruto's style is '(verb stem)tte bayo!' For instance, wakattebayo is "I get it already" or nan dattebayo is "What (the heck) is that?"

So I get why the otaku's are hating on the "Believe it", when the original dialect does the same exact thing?

Fun fact: Did you know that Naruto is supposed to sound scrappy and irritating? Kinda fits his character dontcha think? And Viz took out Naruto's dub catchphrase around the chunin exam arc in response to fan whining, despite the fact that Naruto still uses "Dattebayo" in the original Japanese to this very day, much to the irritation of Japanese viewers.

i hate how people say naruto's voice in english is annoying, in japanese its annoying as well lol NARUTO the character is annoying and i actually prefer some voices in the japanese and some in the english, i must admit as far as theyve got with shippuuden although im up to date in japanese im going to watch the english ones because they really are awesome, dunno why i just prefer them, overall shippuuden dub voices are my fave as long as they dont dumb it down too much ¬¬

All the anime nerds had to whine and complain about it, cuz that's not what he says in their precious original Japanese version. Next thing you know, they're going to want cartoon network to air anime in japanese with english sub titles. And no, the dub is not bad. The voices fit the characters well. It's not like the complaining anime geeks can do a better job dubbing in english, so they should STFU while the pros do they thang ya heard!

No, 4kids DOESN'T own Naruto. They never did. Viz Media dubs it, and the reason they used believe it was because they wanted a transition for Dattebayo. Dattebayo wouldn't make senese in the English Dub, so they came up with Believe it.
