I just recently heard him for the first time on 28 days. He is so talented and beyond hilarious. I just like the throatier sound he had when he got older!
hi, is this version not on the cd reissue? i tried cook the dinner dora, but i have got the drinking song thats on the third album. i much prefer this version. is there any way of getting hold of it?
@MegaFishingboat No, it is a song about certain periods during an average person's life. Come back in thirty years and we can talk about it unless one of us is dead. I hope it is me.
Trying to find out which LWIII song says something about "Mary McGuire and Big Frank Clark got drunk again last night." Google listed album II or III with those lyrics but I've played those albums and still haven't heard that line. Any help would be appreciated--I heard the song on the radio way back around 1971 or '72.
I know it's four months late, but as some other guy said here, it's called Central Square Song, but it's from Album I (or more correctly, Loudon Wainwright III)
@mightyBRB thats from his first album, mighty, album 1,...100% sure....that album is hard to find though, but still, find it the best you can because it's great, ... I found it in a library in oak bluffs mass... Not sure if you can find it on Itunes or any of that other stuff, but it's a great song and album.
@sxlof we hate to hear the truth sometimes. LOL

I would be so happy if you could post it and link me to it.
Anyone, I love that song, just heard it first time it's great.
