Used to live in Gainesville.. Moved to Cumming. I used to always hate that Gainsville but now I would give anything to live there again. Nice down to earth people there.

I'll be travelling through Georgia in June on a greyhound and am wondering whether to hop off here and hire a car to tour the National Park for a couple of days before going on to a conference in Asheville. Your video makes it seem less daunting - I sorta expected six lane highways resulting in an English lady getting totally lost and harrassed. :)

I live in Gainesville! What I notice and think is so bizarre is how a factory town is located at a vacation destination like Lake Lanier. It's created some really odd disparity in this town's income and population. On one hand, a very large percentage of the town is low income factory working minorities and on the other hand you have the wealthy white Atlantan's with homes on the lake. Doesn't seem like a big enough town to have such disparity.
