  • Where did you place the mic in relation to the drums?

  • @MrCantor1994 kind of off to the side in front of the snare HH area....not planned out it just happened to be where I set up the computer....

  • did u use a snowball mic to record the kit?

  • @ciangitardude Yea, I also used some compression and eq settings in GarageBand. I'm sure it could sound much better If I really sat down and took some time with the garageband settings.

  • @ciangitardude Also, If you play the video at 480p it sounds more like the final settings I was working with. For some reason there is a big difference in audio between 360 and 480.

  • @christhedrummer1973 thats mint! coz im looking at buying a snowball to record drums, guitar vocals (screms and cleans), and pre much get a demo and EP done for my band (post-hardcore). would u recommend it for that kinda stuff? coz here, ur drums sound pretty good!

  • @ciangitardude Only if your going to run it through something like a Garage Band program to tweak it out and do adjustments. It has a 3 position switch.. 2 has an xtra condenser for loud instruments like the drums and then you can change it to other positions for vocals and maybe the clean guitar sections. That would only work as long as you are recording multi track. I was surprised how good it worked for the price, but you def. need to add compression and EQ it a bit.

  • @christhedrummer1973 hey man, so i jus picked one up, and i must say im very suprised at the quality with the drums, just did a few samples and they sound mad (with compression and EQ) but, i reckon the guitars sound a bit tinny which is something i can probably fix up post recording, that was the only thing that was a tad disappointing. but thanks heaps for your help!

  • dude sweet! what kind of camera did you use, i did a cover with a cell phone lol

  • @Baconater717 Thanks, I used a sony HD weebie. The exact model is listed on my channel page.

  • Dude nice tats....

  • great job dude. i enjoy how fluid and relaxed you are when playing.

  • @thach1ef Thanks!

  • its awesome man! only one question... How many cameras have you got?

  • @holapegame Thanks! only one camera. I played the song 4 times from different angles then edit it all together.

  • @christhedrummer1973 ohhh yea man!! then i was do it! thanks a lot!

  • amazing

  • @prodrummerboy13 Thanks man! rock on!

  • Bro, sick cover as hell, and you got a good sound from your cam!

  • @CoverDrummer94 Thanks man! Actually the audio is through a Blue snowball usb mic and mixed in garageband. If I was a half decent sound man it would sound better....This was my first try with it so I hope to get better at it.
