  • I think Earth itself wanted global warming, but it had a problem. It needed to create mankind, in order to take a giant learning curve, to end up with humanity extracting the oil, which fueled the way for the industrial revolution, which then culminated in car production and rubber making products. To end with the ritualistic burnouts which can be seen, heard and smelt by all and sundry, yadder yadder.

  • hit 3

  • My favorite car has always been the 70 Barracuda, and I've always wanted a green one.

  • hot car thats sick!!!!!

  • i love it man its my fav car aar cuda period!!!

  • Back in 1975 I had a 70 AAR Cuda and a 70 383 magnum Cuda. The AAR was the love of my life.

  • smoking.

  • yup

  • Looks like I need to open a tire shop in that town.

  • @Fast81Z28

SMELLS like they need to open a tire shop in that town.

  • Awesome by the way... Check out my cuda burnout and also my cuda wheelstand... is under steves cuda and the burn out is under steve p on this site

  • These cars did very well on the race track as well as on the street. Dan gurney and swede did an awsome job with these cars... thats why "bad results" are not often spoke of

  • very nice.

  • six barrel, six pack, they are the same engine. Only difference is the decal on the air cleaner. Most people refer to all of them as six packs.

  • All AAR's and T/A's were 340 Six Packs.

  • AAR is 340 six barrell, TA is six pack

  • To bad the racing results of these cars weren't as great as the cars, not saying they were bad, but as far as i know the results wasen't as good as it could have been, and that's something that is not mentioned (very)often in MoPar disgussions.

    Not hating on the cars.

  • but the superbirds and daytonas killed in nascar

  • I was only refering to the racing results, which was in fact not as great as the car was, no shame with that people.

  • no oil please.

  • God Damn That's sounds nice, bet it sounds better in person, wish I was their.

  • my uncle had this car....until crashed in the tree...

  • OMFG cars don't sound like that anymore. CArs anymore sound really sad, and they whine, they don't roar.

GAWD I LOVE THE SOUND OF A V8!!!! That sound just makes me want to grunt like Tim Taylor. LOVE IT!

  • MY dad has a aar too!

  • 340 SixPack(or Barrel) Power!

  • could be a single 4

  • AAR Barracuda had 340 with sixbarrel carbs, not a single 4.

    Correct or?

Imagine if Chrysler would have offered Hemi-heads as an option on the 340 in the Dodge/Plymouth cars that could be ordered with the 340 in the 60s and early 70s, might have got alot of power don't you think?

    A 340 SixPack(or SixBarrel) with Hemi-heads and a little ''sharper'' cam, hehe dreaming :)

  • hemi heads wouldnt have fit. if they made swirl port 340 heads on the 340s theyd have alot higher output. and yes they had single 4s on some. not all were six packs

  • I agree.

But i didn't mean the 426's heads, i meant Hemi-heads designed expecily for the 340, but ofcourse, it's not ''just'' made new heads for an engine, it's a number of things that must work together to make new heads work good with an engine with improved flow e.t.c.

I guess that if they would have made special designed hemi heads for the 340 in the 60s and early 70s,they might ended up having to fix/rebuild some other stuff on the block e.t.c to make it really improved.Iam not expert

  • oh yea they make hemi heads for small block. after market junk that doesnt flow worth a shit. but if they had designed good flowing hemi chambered small block heads they probly would have had to go with a bigger cam and better exhaust manifolds and a better flowing intake. probly a bigger carb and valves as well to support the extra fuel and port velocity that would be runnin in the heads. needless to say it would probly have been a 450hp plus 340 or w/e block used.

  • But does it exist good designed Hemi-heads that is actually good?

If i was going to tune a 340 Demon/Duster, i would really like to bolt on Hemi-heads, good heads, not crap heads, together with a Sixpack carb intake manifold and some other stuff, Sixpack/Barrel looks very good on a 340so that is one thing i would want to have on it.

So if there actually exist good Hemi-heads to bolt on a 340, not crap, do you know anything about it?A website or something?

If so,please put a link to there.

  • i dont know who makes them. but i hear that someone makes hemi small block heads. and im told that they dont flow worth a shit. im sure you could find it if you googled it. 302 swirl port heads with 1.78 1.60 valves and a port and polish job with bowl blend will give you better numbers then the hemi heads they make probly. anywhere from 50 to 100hp just depending on the head work. there like 55 to 63 cc heads. hi compression.

  • Machine Shop! haha

  • 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda and 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A were both 340 Six-Pack Cars

  • not all were 6 packs

  • well Majority were i think. its either that or the six pack was an option. i just figured it came standard on the AAR and T/A

  • I love the AAR Cuda and the T/A Challenger.

  • beatiful noise!!!!!

  • i love how it just spits smoke out

  • very nice car

  • gotta love a 340!

  • dude, love the T/A Challenger and AAR Cuda
