I remember playing Gex for ps1 when I was a little kid, and I pushed all sorts of random buttons and it unlocked this game, tomb raider, and some other games I can't remember

Really don't get why critics went on so much about the voice acting. Voice acting and cutscenes make up a very very small portion of the game. If you really hate Gex's ramblings then you have the option to mute the voices in the options menu.

For me, the only major issue was the camera, which was horrible at times.

@MouseyWithPower When Gex came out the voice acting was universally criticised by European reviewers to the extent where many were docking whole points based simply on the "annoying voice acting".

For ages afterwards it was still brought up by them as an example of bad voice acting (ie "this games voice acting is so poor its nearly as bad as Gex's")

By the time of the 3D games the developer decided that they should probably change the voice actor for the European releases.

no, the FMV'S are from the PAL version. PAL Gex had an other voice. this is in ps1 and n64 version.

Yeah, Dana Gould did Gex's voice in all 3 games in the U.S. version, in the U.K. versions he only did his voice in the first, then Leslie Phillips took over for Gex 2, and this guy(forget his name) did him in the third one.

Don't hate me for this but i like Dana Gould's voice better, it just suits him better IMO. This guy sounds annoying to me. Also, when he says "you wanna see my" and Agent Xtra interrupts it sounds delayed here.
