@spazhat :Well almost! Angus Young is the lead guitarist,Malcolm Young is a rhythm guitarist in acca dacca.Their older brother is George young.Harry Vanda and george went on to produce a lot of people, wrote and produced-did their own stuff as Flash and the Pan,hope this helps, mate
Paulette was great in films like the Cat & the Canary. The Easybeats were Australia's premier band in the 60s along with The Seekers. Check out Stevie Wright's Evie also on YouTube....

the Easybeats were the first band I was into and their's was the first record I bought...and hearing them again makes me feel 12 again!..still sound great to me
They remind me of the Raiders. The guitar sounds a lot like the work they did in their big hit Friday on My Mind. Good songs both but I believe they didn't have enough diversity or uniqueness to last very long.
@imkluu the easybeats were unique, they had their own sound. The reason for the split was more about the songwriting unit of stevie/george changed to george/harry and they became very much in charge and decided to do their own thing.
This is a really excellent song. This group deserved far greater success here in the UK than they achieved. But thank you so much for posting it here. At least the song, and the group, are getting a second chance this way. Hope it's not too late for the group to benefit in some way...
My second fave song off this LP, after "Friday." The Beatles meet the Dave Clark Five meet Peter and Gordon meet the Beach Boys. Pop-rock was never better, nor more intelligent.
it could be good, but the Hollywood and New York producers want to sell us shit. They don't want us to see beautiful women dancing and handsome men singing. No talented musicians playing. No they want to push their agenda and sell shit that degrades women and talks about violence towards women! I hate rap and that shit! Rock and Roll forever!
George Young is Angus & Malcolm Young's big brother, and was a huge influence on lots of early AC/DC music. He was an incredible musican & could play nearly any instrument - he often played bass for AC/DC & he was the one who refined many of the most clasic AC/DC riffs. The Easys paved the way for AC/DC in Australia. Without the Easybeats, there would be no AC/DC....
We all know that, but the question is: why on hell did you write "ACDC forever" on an Easybeats video. Easybeats where, do I have to remain it to you, George Young (Angus and Malcom's brother) played guitar, and later produced with ACDC for six albums, giving them the opportunity to become the fantastic band we all know and love. why? Hahaha!
I guess I use my own taste.I do have Grace Kelly and Scarlett Johannsen there.Grace and Scarlett are pretty gourgeous.I should pay attention to the lyrics.

Whoever said the Easybeats lacked "diversity and uniqueness" needs to be stopped.

If you knew, that wasn't the brightest question in the world. Why else would I be hailing AC/DC on an Easybeats vid?
