@debidebs1 I had to be at least 12 or 13 when this song came out. My uncle had a huge collection of contemporary gospel music and I loved going through his CD's. I thank God for that though, because I didn't have to listen to secular music only to find good music. This was good music, but with a message. It was songs like this and artists such as Fred Hammond that kept me...real talk.
This song is one of my favorite Fred Hammond songs. I love the old school beat. I remember when this came out actually. it was the first song i ever sang. i was three haha
Actually, I knew about this album before I knew about commissioned. I was just a kid when I heard both of them. Once I learned that Fred was part of commissioned, I instantly loved commissioned. I couldn't really get into Commissioned after the Matters of the Heart album. The Irreplaceable Love album grew on me a little. Montrel Darrett is a beast. I miss him
Future Comment: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, it's 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God's Love is indeed UNCONDITIONAL!!!!, He let us make it this far to 2009, and I pray that He'll continue to bless everyone throughout this New Year!! Welp, that's all I wanted to say, good bye! Ha ha ha!
Yes, I've heard the live version of it. It's on the cd Shakin' The House 2 Live in L.A. with Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker. I for one hated the live version. This song wasn't meant for a choir to sing on and RFC just didn't suit it at all.
That's cool. I guess we all have our different tastes. I just preferred the production, and vocals of the original studio versions better. The only song I really liked off of the Shakin' The House 2 cd was the very last one that all of them did together. Did you know that Gary Oliver was also in that song, but they cut out his parts?
He's not on the cd version of the song. But if you look up the video on youtue, you'll see him singing with Fred, Yolanda, and Hezekiah. That's how I found out.

This cd was okay. I AM PERSUADED was (to me) his best album away from Commissioned. Including all of his choir stuff. again.....TO ME.

I had to go back and listen to it again and his first solo album is totally different from this one (Deliverance) it seems that his sound matured.
