I was watching the dubbed version of this anime on one of those encore channels when I was like 12... and I remember hearing Gackts voice and crying. Gackt was and forever will be my favorite Japanese artist! :D

I've seen all these animes, beginning with GitS when I was only 12 (and the only guy of my age in perhaps my whole land to like it :d) and, if we've got the same tastes, I think that you'll like 'Boogiepop Phantom'. Also a kinf of philosophically nihilistic anime with some mystery and a-morally honest purpose. Enjoy!

Also, don't forget that the Lain & Texhnolyze team will do another anime, eventually a new masterpiec : it's a psychological thriller called 'Despera'.

just finished this series right now. It was a very sad and tragic ending, but I sort of saw it coming. This anime is truly a work of art, a one of a kind. Not the best show ever of course, but still a great series.

I didn't think he gave up it was just that everyone else was finished and he was alone, just as the girl predicted so he was just led there depressed. Last person alive in the world, also with a failing arm and leg, wouldn't have been surprised if he ended up killing himself

@tom1yum2goong from what i gathered the people in the upper world were ghosts except for that old guy with the old style texhnolyze legs, they'd given up on living so they had no need for the lafia trade, the doctor ended up killing herself, after the last time ichise saw the doc before heading off it showed a clip of her room with her talking through the radio and water coming out from under the bathroom door, i just saw that as her drowning herself and she was communicating through the radio

If you like this song, you'll love Gackt's music. Gackt has very beautiful and edgy songs. I remember Luna is also a theme-song, that's great, to have such a beautiful contrast between hard, luna, and delicate, tsuki no uta, both by Gackt.
