@Epicocitygaming yet Britain and America supported him. I can see that your some Shah loving nut. Good luck and memorizing the oppressive tyranny of the old fart. Responsible for have the 3/4ths of the population being poor as fuck.
@13dachronic He made iran and its citizens wealthy. my grandfather was rich under his reign because of what he did for the economy. read up on ur history
@Epicocitygaming lol you are so funny. If you grandfather was rich doesnt mean the whole nation was rich. The nation was poor and crumbling. The shah was a tyrant but dumb persians like you cant see that. You dont care for your people and richness is the only thing you materialize for. Really sad.
3/4th of the country was poor as fuck. Read your history.
@13dachronic Last year i donated 20,000 dollars on behalf of my grandfather to unicef to help countries and you have the nerve to say that we care for material things?your a disgrace especially since you support palestine, they dont want someone like you supporting them
@Epicocitygaming wow so much money. I bet your grandfathers money came from the poor people of Iran. You see the wealth is not shared in your Shahs regime. Sadly your grandfather was the shahs tool. He gave your paps money and let the people of Iran starve too death.
Shah was a tyrant stop kidding yourself. You might be rich but your fellow Iranians and that time were below the poverty level BECAUSE of the SHAH.
@13dachronic My grandfather owned multiple orphanages and got the money from his father who was a politician, he helped the people as much as he could idiot your grandfather probably didnt do shit for others
@Epicocitygaming you Support the SHAH, he was a TYRANT. Nearly 75% of the population under the Shahs rule was under the poverty line. I dont give a damn about your grandfather since i dont know you or him. You are making a appeal to emotion fallacy. I using facts. You arent.
@13dachronic When the Shah came to power, over 90% of the country was under the poverty line. When he left, less than 50% was. Literacy was 5% in 1941. It was 50% when he left. Iran had the largest middle class in the middle east in 1978. It's economic growth rate from 1961-78 was the second highest in the world, after South Korea. Iranians had the highest standard of living in the M.E., after Israel. Its professional class was by far the largest in the region...chew on those facts.
@cyrustg i can see your a devout supporter of the shah. "When he left," LOL he was fucking booted out for making the country shit-poor. 3/4 of the population was under the poverty line!
"It was 50% when he left" Your right because the islamic revolution and its leaders wanted people OUT of the poverty line unlike your tyrannical leader!
@13dachronic No, not a devout supporter of anyone, unlike your love of the Islamic Republic. And it's telling that despite your claim of "using facts" you completely failed to even try to respond to mine.
@13dachronic As to tyranny, there is no evidence whatsoever that the Shah's regime killed more than 1,200 people between 1941-1978. That is nothing to be proud of. But the Islamic Republic's own records admit to at least 40,000 deaths, although many legitimate organizations put the the number closer to 100,000. Again, this is not pro-Shah ideology, just the facts. If you can't handle the facts, then stop claiming to others that you're a proponent of them.
@cyrustg what facts! Your just a apologetic pro-shah ideologist! Tell me, if Iran under the shah WAS SO GOOD then the islamic revolution would not have occured!
The reason it occured was the Shahs tyranny and greediness, not spreading the wealth around which made about 3/4 of the population under the poverty line!
Apologize for him all you want! But this tyrant is not remorseful, he killed his political enemies in Iran!
@13dachronic The Shah's regime was flawed, for several reasons, but primarily because political development did not meet the fast pace of economic/social development. If people don't have a means to express their grievances, ultimately, political instability results. Still, his regime was much better than this one. And I have provided ample empirical data, which you have responded to with emotional outbursts.
@13dachronic And ultimately, if you were honest about your criticism of the Shah killing his political enemies in Iran, you would voice the same criticism of the mullahs, who have killed 50 times as many of their enemies as the Shah did. The fact that you apply this double standard is suggestive of your ideological hypocrisy.
@cyrustg The hypocrisy? THe shah is a tyrant! Under his rule 3/4 of the country were under the poverty line! After the islamic revolution the poverty line gradually decreased making Iran becoming the power-house we see today!
" who have killed 50 times as many of their enemies as the Shah did"
The Shah was a dictator! THe Islamic republic is what it is, a "republic" and democratically elected leaders are chosen!
@13dachronic being poor doesn't necessarily mean the govt was tyrannical, but mismanaged. So come up with something else to bitch about other than being poor.

So laughable to say he had all the money...
I loved the Shah despite the foolishness of some of his beliefs. I'm proud to be Iranian because of our cultural achievements. I'm not , however, in agreement with his Majesty's statement that Iran should have been accepted among nuclear nations. For the obvious reason that Iran didn't have a stable enough social culture and a nuclear Iran today would most likely start a nuclear armageddon. No Islamic country should have serious destructive weapons since muslims are prone to irrationality.
With all the respect to your believe,I have lived outside Iran long enough to know about international politic.I don't think anybody but Iranians can be their friend.Iranians with any ideology.I know shah wasn't without fault, but I am not proud of what happened in Iran either. All and all I respect him and am wishful for tomorrow,by learning from our past.Long live Iranoirani.
I love Shah's interviews. I think they will be such a good documents to last for ever for Iranians to recognize their real friends and enemies. And not to forget to learn from their mistakes. Long live Shah's memories and long live Iran and Iranians.
He was "The Most Interesting Man In The World...." , The Real One!!! :-) To this day, there is not one single man, a single leader in the world who can speak, read, write in multiple languages with his intelligence, wisdom and class!
Shah of Iran Zamin, May you rest in eternal Peace...
I am really impressed with his english and french accents. Any monkey can learn multiple languages, to sound like an authenticaly academicaly fluent takes a genuine genius. I hope the children of the revolutionaries of '77 live a long life to suffer the achievemnts of their parents. (spit)
To be quite honest, most of europe did not want to see this man go or see the Iranian people suffer. My family lived in northern Iran for 100's of years since it was ancient Armenia but after the revolution we moved to france. After the revolution, progress and intelligence ground to a halt! I can say most of Europe did NOT want to see the Shah go and wanted to keep a free Iran. All of these problems with iran and terrorism was the fault of the Americans and the British. Love from France/Armenia
@MonMonsieurBleu,As President Sadat of Egypt wrote in his book "The 4 leaders of USA UK France & Germany met in Quadelupe & took a unified stand against the Shah giving full support to Khomeini. The filthy greedy EU for the past 32 yrs has turned a blind eye on Mullahs cromes with total disregards for human suffering as if nothing wrong is taking place there. The filthy EU has been too happy to loot Iran & cut deals while protecting & appeasing the Mullahs. They R opposing regime change in Iran.
@fraizer57 unfortunately governments NEVER act according to the will of the people they SUPPOSEDLY represent, ESPECIALLY Western Governments.....I dont care, I am proud of being Armenian, French, and I have loved and will ALWAYS LOVE SUPPORT and CARE for my Iranian Cousins.
ehhhh, he did or didn't. who cares any more. U people messed up big time and now pay for it. And by the way, stop calling yourself Persians. U R all un-appreciated Iranian. Face the truth.
@frodudee, The Shah of Iran was a head of his time. He was athletic, a pilot of both comercial & fighter planes, sport personality. He spoke French English & German better than the natives & he was a dedicated patriot with a clear vision but once in 1973 he said he will not renew the oil with the west in 1979, he was terrorised & demonised by the fucking Brits & Jimmy Carter & we know what happened to him in 1979. They would not even give him a place to die that tells a lot about civilized west.
@nozen4u really? I thought his english was rather fantastic. Much better than the hoards of immigrants that fill America today, that do not speak any English, and if they do speak, it is barely comprehensible.
your whore mohammedan mother is a lowlife jew, because she loves to play with jew cocks you arab cunt wipe. I am neither a jew, like the man who fucked your whore mother in the ass and then made her suck it, nor a stone worshipping arab whore like your shit self. PISS on your kabba and mo-hammad, I wipe my ass on the GOH-Ran and the old testament, you're a blood brother to the jews, go fuck each other now, like mohammad who sucked a lot of jewish cock
I spit on the grave of your whore grandmother and faggot grandfather, and I shit on the tomb of your dead relatives, on your moo-ham-MAD, that son of a bitch child molester may he suck satan's cock in hell, just like you when you die and I hope that is very soon. Fuck you and your allah motherfucker
the Goh-ran is teh only book I need to wipe my ass with. Take your filthy book of hate and your son of a bitch mo-ham-MAD and go the fuck back to arabia you filthy shit
Further, the Shah was effective at defending Iran and maintaining alliances, whereas Khomenei, by isolating Iran and having no military abilities left the gate wide open for Saddam Hussein to kill 1 million Iranians. Pick up a history book when you're done thumping the Koran while being ignorant of it.
Funny how the Ahmadinejad robots always turn to anti-semitism when they have no argument. The Shah was much more effective at influencing the west and pressuring Israel, while Ahmadinejad simply gives the west and Israel the perfect excuse for whatever policy they want to undertake. Both the 1,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza this year and the 1,000 shia killed in Lebanon two years ago would almost certainly be alive today if the Shah were still in power.
Secondly, France and Britain were/are democracies that have not shown any willingness or desire to use nuclear weapons. The Shah was a dictator and now there is a much worse dictator who promises to wipe other countries off of the map. Of course Iran can't be allowed to have nukes today.
i don like nijad but lets be honest it was misstranslated ;) check this shit out
plus british is one of the most know imperial nations lol france aswell, they both had an aim to dominate the world its just USA that stoped em by several means
The first thing I notice is that the Shah was so much more effective a spokesman for Iran's interests than what Iran has today. Can you imagine Ahmadinejad going between Persian, English, and French so easily? However, the Shah missed a few points in his answer. First, Germany did not (and does not) have nuclear weapons because of Germany's history. Now that Iran has its own Hitler (Ahmadinejad), it is understandable why Iran shouldn't have nukes.
Isn't the U.S., a democracy, the only country to use atomic bombs on civilians? Didn't the U.S. use chemical weapons in Vietnam? Didn't the British use chemical weapons? True, Ahmadinejad is no saint, but he is no Hitler, and Iran, unlike the West, has not attacked another nation in over 150 years...
@CyrusTab, Ahmaghinejad IS worse than HITLER. Sad that U do not know enough about that bastard thug. In Iran he is known as the TERMINATOR because while prison interigator he gave the last shot to many thousands in the prisons of the British backed Mullahs.
@fraizer57 I don't deny Ahmadinejad's evil and the damage he does to Iran. But you are distorting history to say that he's worse than Hitler, who was responsible for the death of tens of millions. And you assist the worst elements in the US and Europe who would like to use such statements as propaganda to attack and destroy Iran...
@CyrusTab,To us Iranians Ahmaghinejad is worth than Hitler & Stalin & we dont know if Hitler won the war that fat pig English thug Churchill might be exposed as the worst criminal.USA & Israel will never attack Iran.Mullahs were installed by the fucking Yanks & the evil Brits in 1979 & they R protectors of their interest. All these riff-raffs R play politics & to hide the real fact that Mullahs R the servents of the west.If not they would have removed them as they removed the Shah in no time.
@CyrusTab But Ahmadinejad himself has said he wants to wipe Israel off the map, and he is a holocaust denier. Obviously the U.S. has had its shameful moments, but you can't seriously say a man like Ahmadinejad is even one bit better than American politicians.
@kalinga01 Yes. I stated that Ahmadinejad is no saint. And he has made absurd rhetorical pronouncements (though making crazy statements is the norm in the middle east, even for Israel). My point was, the US/UK do not have the moral authority to be pointing fingers. The day they start to dismantle their nuclear armaments, is the day they may begin to criticize others...
The Shah was a remarkably great leader and person. A true blessing any country could have or even wish to have in its entire history.
Please be aware the enemies of Iran and the Shah play with words. When the Shah is being humanitarian and caring they call him a coward, and when the Shah is defending Iran's interests they call him a dictator. You see how sneaky these enemies are??!!! Don't even waste your time, their mission is to ruin Iran and make the Shah look bad.
Wow! He speaks French flawlessly! Even when he was head of state the europeans and US were not willing to allow Iran to have nuclear defense. Nothing new. Ahmadinejad has been asking the same question all along.
Under suppression? That's a thread-hanging claim that is deprived of evidence and any validation.
After what happened in Iraq, the last thing we need is any foreign intervention to 'democratize' us, this is one reason why the Regime is still alive and intact.
The protesters, what is their argument? Secular democarzy? Nah, they're not even in this parameter.
They're religiously leaning to win support; evidence of this is them distancing this from the west.
Long Live the persian empire? The Persian Empire no longer exists, it belongs to the 95 percent of Iranian Muslims. There is nothing great about Persian, the greatest minds, poets, writers, narrators who've originated from Iran are Muslim and Iranian, no Persian and Aryan.
Poor little dimwit. He just doesnt get it. Rezaie, Omar Khayam, Avicenna, Ferdowsi, Rumi, Iqbal.
Go ahead and name me one Great Persian poet greater then any of the above.
Persian Aryans should be proud that they were overtaken by a more sophisticated, advanced, religious, well-versed, and a highly intellectual Muslim Culture.
Persians of old? Not so much. They're demise was well worth it.
Now cry me a river. The Islamic Republic is nicely intact, and you have no ability to harm it.
IS IT A MUSLIM CULTURE TO HANG PEOPLE, TO STONE THEM, AND KILL KILL KILL............................. You must know, what's happening in Iran. You talk like yuu know... So you sad that is a muslim culture!
The Iranian Gov't does not represent Islam. The religion has for God sake up to 1.8 billion followers, thats more then you can count your entire life. I was only replying to some people's bigoted and dis-informational comments regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran. Islam is Iran is alive and strong, you can see in both sides argument. They both rely on religious claims to win support.
I live in the USA, yes. Currently I have no reason to go to Iran. Simply because I yield my support to the Gov't of Iran does not mean that I, and others who have the same opinion as me, are restricted to live in only countries that we support. I support the USA, not our government, and hence why I'm living here right now.
Rezaie, Omar Khayyam, Ibn Sina, Ferdowsi and Rumi were ALL Persian you delusional coon. Omar Khayyam openly spoke of his hate for the Quran. Ferdowsi cursed the Muslim invaders of Iran, blessed the Sassanids and declared Iranian culture superior to your Taazi culture.
Fine, they were Persian, but they were either Shiite or sufi. Omar Khayyam did critize the quran, but he subsequently plausible to earnestly retract what he said. That was his last opinion of this subject and that is the only one that counts.
Do you not know how to discern? Maybe, eh, he implied that --because he was a Muslim sufi (why are you ignoring this fact?)- the delusional undiscerning extremists (donkeys) who pick and choose, misguidedly, verses to justify violence (shell). From the Quran we picked the meat (the good from all of it).
When you misconstrue the meat, the shell is left for the sub-normals to consume.
Your case is practically the worst kind to undertake any established anti-Islamic sentiments on Rumi's part.
If nomadic Bedouins are more sophisticated than Persians, then Nigeria is more sophisticated than Germany. Muslim culture? More like Persian Sassanid culture.
The Islamic Republic is the epitome of shit and it's supporters, like yourself, are a waste of skin and bones. You do not even live in Iran. You mooch off the government of England and then you support the IR? Go live with your Mullahs.
For some reason, maybe due to the death and wipe out of the Shah and his goons, you have become a penchant anti-Iranian gawk. Iran's 'shit supporters' are practically 99 % of the Iranian people; you really believe we want to live under a dynasty that has no testicular fortitude (the Shah) to confront our adversaries? You admire marionettes and their operators while remaining a mesmerized pigeon under the spell of the Shah.
Fortunately you met your end and now there is no chance to recuperate
woah, he could speak french ! i didn't know it... there is no doubt 'bout his persian. his english was good and he was a pilot as well as being a well educated politician ! man, he was great... god bless him and his family...
He was a fool...he used to lick America's feet, had good relations with israel, but still they treated him like toilet paper..
he knew all about the Zionist lobby, nuclear issue and CIA coups, but still he bowed to them..
and to top it all, he was far far away from Al-Islam..its better to stay in an Islamic society and stay away from sins than to live this life in United Snakes and enter into hell in the next..
the world dose not need another nuclear bomb..especially in the hands of that crazy fucker in Iran. and that crazy fucking Korean those 2 fuckers think they have the right to kill everybody in the world. The world needs something better. The people of the world need a clean power to grow food and clean water. not dirty nuclear power that poullutes and contaminates
You should distinguish between yesterday of Hitler and Germany today. You should distinguish between Iran yesterday and Shah who was friend of the world and today Mullahs who are funny version of Hitler
well, you'd better not to say Iranian! i suggest you next time when you wanna talk about this country do not mix up the ordinary people and the government. by the way, i'm agree with your idea about havin' a clean power.
Shah was peace loving. It would have been alright to have nuclear for Iran but with this terrorist Islamic Regime no one in the world is guaranteed peace if they get it..... Mullahs should go to hell then IRAN will be FREE. LONG LIVE THE PERSIAN EMPIRE
The late Shah of Iran was too civilized, too modern, too educated, too patriotic, too forward looking, too concerned with the welfare of Iran, too progressive, and too nice a leader for the two-legged animals called Irnaina citizens he was trying to lead into the 21st century.
The Western countries who sought his demise and the sheepish Iranian people who fell into the trap of revolution (Ann_Ghollab) deserve the consequences, the mullahs.
Even if you got rid of the Islamic government in Iran, most Iranians would still favor nuclear weapons. People just like to make Islam look bad whenever they can.

Mon Dieu, he speaks very good French. His English was not as good, but you can tell he was a very educated man and very intelligent.
A shame that Iran does not have leaders like him today.

RebAdin 2 years ago 7
Funny how the Ahmadinejad robots always turn to anti-semitism when they have no argument. The Shah was much more effective at influencing the west and pressuring Israel, while Ahmadinejad simply gives the west and Israel the perfect excuse for whatever policy they want to undertake. Both the 1,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza this year and the 1,000 shia killed in Lebanon two years ago would almost certainly be alive today if the Shah were still in power.
RebAdin 2 years ago 5
Secondly, France and Britain were/are democracies that have not shown any willingness or desire to use nuclear weapons. The Shah was a dictator and now there is a much worse dictator who promises to wipe other countries off of the map. Of course Iran can't be allowed to have nukes today.
RebAdin 2 years ago
i don like nijad but lets be honest it was misstranslated ;) check this shit out
plus british is one of the most know imperial nations lol france aswell, they both had an aim to dominate the world its just USA that stoped em by several means
dodywhatever 2 years ago
The first thing I notice is that the Shah was so much more effective a spokesman for Iran's interests than what Iran has today. Can you imagine Ahmadinejad going between Persian, English, and French so easily? However, the Shah missed a few points in his answer. First, Germany did not (and does not) have nuclear weapons because of Germany's history. Now that Iran has its own Hitler (Ahmadinejad), it is understandable why Iran shouldn't have nukes.
RebAdin 2 years ago
Isn't the U.S., a democracy, the only country to use atomic bombs on civilians? Didn't the U.S. use chemical weapons in Vietnam? Didn't the British use chemical weapons? True, Ahmadinejad is no saint, but he is no Hitler, and Iran, unlike the West, has not attacked another nation in over 150 years...

fraizer57 1 year ago
@fraizer57 I don't deny Ahmadinejad's evil and the damage he does to Iran. But you are distorting history to say that he's worse than Hitler, who was responsible for the death of tens of millions. And you assist the worst elements in the US and Europe who would like to use such statements as propaganda to attack and destroy Iran...
CyrusTab 1 year ago

Obviously the U.S. has had its shameful moments, but you can't seriously say a man like Ahmadinejad is even one bit better than American politicians.
kalinga01 1 month ago

All is within the regime.
machohead16 2 years ago
Long Live the persian empire? The Persian Empire no longer exists, it belongs to the 95 percent of Iranian Muslims. There is nothing great about Persian, the greatest minds, poets, writers, narrators who've originated from Iran are Muslim and Iranian, no Persian and Aryan.
machohead16 2 years ago
Are you stupid?! 95% muslim? hahaha.....
ALL the writers, poets and so on are NOT muslim! They are Persian!
Iran = not arab!

They both rely on religious claims to win support.
machohead16 2 years ago
So why do you not live in Iran!? Are you living in USA!?!???? .... OH MAN! WHY!?
You are with the satan!
1992Soldier 2 years ago
I live in the USA, yes. Currently I have no reason to go to Iran. Simply because I yield my support to the Gov't of Iran does not mean that I, and others who have the same opinion as me, are restricted to live in only countries that we support. I support the USA, not our government, and hence why I'm living here right now.
machohead16 2 years ago
Rezaie, Omar Khayyam, Ibn Sina, Ferdowsi and Rumi were ALL Persian you delusional coon. Omar Khayyam openly spoke of his hate for the Quran. Ferdowsi cursed the Muslim invaders of Iran, blessed the Sassanids and declared Iranian culture superior to your Taazi culture.
"From the Quran we picked the meat
For the donkeys left the shell to eat" - Rumi
Do you understand what he was trying to say?
99999999988888888 2 years ago
Fine, they were Persian, but they were either Shiite or sufi. Omar Khayyam did critize the quran, but he subsequently plausible to earnestly retract what he said. That was his last opinion of this subject and that is the only one that counts.
I see you only touched on one name.

Your case is practically the worst kind to undertake any established anti-Islamic sentiments on Rumi's part.
machohead16 2 years ago
If nomadic Bedouins are more sophisticated than Persians, then Nigeria is more sophisticated than Germany. Muslim culture? More like Persian Sassanid culture.
The Islamic Republic is the epitome of shit and it's supporters, like yourself, are a waste of skin and bones. You do not even live in Iran. You mooch off the government of England and then you support the IR? Go live with your Mullahs.
99999999988888888 2 years ago 3
For some reason, maybe due to the death and wipe out of the Shah and his goons, you have become a penchant anti-Iranian gawk. Iran's 'shit supporters' are practically 99 % of the Iranian people; you really believe we want to live under a dynasty that has no testicular fortitude (the Shah) to confront our adversaries? You admire marionettes and their operators while remaining a mesmerized pigeon under the spell of the Shah.
Fortunately you met your end and now there is no chance to recuperate

The late Shah of Iran was too civilized, too modern, too educated, too patriotic, too forward looking, too concerned with the welfare of Iran, too progressive, and too nice a leader for the two-legged animals called Irnaina citizens he was trying to lead into the 21st century.
The Western countries who sought his demise and the sheepish Iranian people who fell into the trap of revolution (Ann_Ghollab) deserve the consequences, the mullahs.
