  • she has a great voice. my respect for a 14-year-old!!! but in my opinion this arrangement is too cheesy. someone has tried to make it sound more beautifully and this someone hasn't noticed that this song IS already beautiful. so the added piano, these synth strings and her phrasing make it awfully cheesy. the original is so beautiful because it's so simple. here someone has definitely meddled too much with stanford's music. otherwise it could have been absolutely beautiful.

  • She is breathy, not soft in this song.

  • Wow !!!!

What an unsual arrangement for this jewel of a piece.

Before listening to this I would have thought that any tinkering with the original would only detract from its perfection but IMO this works brilliantly and makes the beauty of the original more immediately accessible to the modern ear.

    ***** :-)

  • Wow, only 14 when she recorded this? What a great voice! Will definitely look for more performances by her.

  • awesome

  • Wow Becky Jane Taylor, has an amazing voice, so pure and perfect.

  • Thanks for posting, Harold. Never heard this. A fine little poem sung by a equally fine voice.

    Greetings, Stephan
