Melrose Place was one of the greatest tv shows of the 90's - much better than overrated Beverly Hills 90210! Alison (Courtney Thorne-Smith) and Jake (Grant Show) were my 2 favorite characters from start to finish. I still can't believe they didn't get together.

Sydney (Laura Leighton) deserved much better ending - such a cuttie character.

Brilliant Michael (Thomas Calabro) should have been with Megan (Kelly Rutherford)

Ryan (John Newton) should have been with Lexi (Jamie Luner) - hot couple

@GokuSnake Yep, they've got some of the characters from the original series (Michael, Sydney, Amanda, Jane), so, while the new series has its own plotlines with its own set of characters, it's still connected to the original through the characters that I'd just mentioned. :-)

that's funny how they fired all the brunettes at the end of the season 6 (Taylor, Jennifer, Sam) and kept all the blondes for the season 7 (Amanda, Megan, Jane). But i don't know if they did that in purpose...

Rinna and Milano left by choice, but Langton is the only one that was "mutually" let go... meaning she was fired, but wanted to save face. In all fairness, they darkened Luner's hair and brought in Sofer so it was pretty much evened-out.

I just watched season 7 and I thought overall it was pretty good. The 6th season was kind of overdone and tacky at times, and I thought the 7th season was even better.

Too bad in the new series they can't bring back Kimberly. However, they can bring back Eve. She may have not been as "psychotically correct" as Kimberly, but it's a villian and the new series will not make it if there isn't a definate villian or resumes it's high octane over the top storylines, then the series will definately be canceled. The CW has a lot of potiential to live up to with the return of Melrose Place.

Jane and Michael were meant to get back together, season 7 should've ended by Michael remarrying Jane, but the stupid producers decided to keep Michael as a dog. Season 7 was the worst MP season ever!!!

Yah, but Coop knew Kimberly when she went back home and was presumed dead by the "Melrose" gang. He tried to talk her out of going back to California to patch things up with Micheal. Coop had fallen in love with her while she was in a coma and he was her doctor. At that time he was married to Lexi, I believe.
