i don't think you people understand that they HAVE TO lip sync here because 1) they have to have the track in the bg so that if they get tired from the dancing they don't have to sing and 2) The place they are in is so big they would need to turn their mics up real high which would cause feedback, etc.

They are obviously lip-synching here. But they DO sing live when you see them in concert. It may be the show wanted them to... that happens sometimes. They DO sing live in concert. For training they had to run around a canyon and sing at the same time, all day, to prepare for the dancing & singing on stage! They all have great voices, and always sing live, except here. My guess is the WW show wanted them to.

I work with vocal groups, and they are definitely lip-synching. Its the one way to not get respect in the business.

Nsync and BSB did major choreography and managed to sing live. Yeah, its fine to have a backup track to fill in where you can't when your bouncing around the stage, but to not sing live on a nationally broadcast show is a mistake.

And honey, them lipsynching has nothing to do with any kind of sound waves. haha
