  • When you lower me into the grave, I demand this song...

  • orgasmic

  • TOMA!!!!!!

  • i started whistling this tune today, having had it on tape in my first car lol.i loved this tune. the lyrics came to me today and i spent 2 hrs online tonite to try and find it. at last, this still sounds brilliant today 20 odd years later

  • I was walking down the street once, a car passed by playing this tune, An old woman in front of me turned around and with a really confused expression asked me, "Can you hear the angels too?"

  • Ahhhhhh proper trance tune. Fucking sweet. Timeless

  • oh yeah baby

  • I think , as far as i can remember, that this is the original version of Age of love. Great track, hymn, first time i listen to it , i thought that this song came from the future. Haa, i'm a prophet...

  • We're only realizing now how great a decade the 90's was...

Probobly the last great decade for music ?

  • This was the first MAJOR trance song played in clubs around the world I remember listening to this song long before Prodigy & Chemical Brothers hit the scene in the early to mid 90'sa truely groungbreaking song for its time

  • but...do you know that one of the two authors of this song is Pino D'Angio' ?

    ( For Example : MA QUALE IDEA - PINO D'ANGIO 2003 ....on You Tube ) ( real name : G. Chierchia ) !!!

    Incredible !!!

Great Song and Video ... Thanks ...

  • Frankfurt;-) Flughafen.....

    .....ich will zurück!!!!

  • There is track that was produced in India that came out in the very early 80's.... also Delia Derbyshire was making "trance" long before this track came out... So this is not the earliest known example of trance.... its just the best know to a generation that never knew its roots :)

  • it is the!!! (first) and heard (trance) version!!! but lots of other famous and genious and equal tracks followed, especially in 1993 (best Techno/Trance year in history). They are my life, my blood, my breath my life my kids... until I die, I will live in the memories of the best part of my life and I will take this into my grave!

  • this is my mates fav tune of all time......!

  • Classic

  • thank you you tube my life

  • Loved this tune then and now. Wonder club track that always took the roof off.

  • Well no! It is the earliest example of what is now defined as the trance genre. You have not fully explored Pink Floyd if you think this is the first music that will put you in a trance. I have been listening to music since the late 60's right through to the early Ibiza and Hacienda days. This is still a top track - one of the very very best but people should not think trance started in 1992.

  • This track really starts to take off at 2:35...everything after that is simply brilliant.

    Great classic!

  • earliest known trance?

not really: remember jean michelle jarre, tangerine dream or switched on bach

  • @DerStadtbus

    you're so wrong mate ...

jarre, tangerine, switched, or even vangelis the;re only electronic music

THE FIRST trance song (but not whole song) is The KLF - What time is love (1988)

Trance music has roots in acid house (ex.The KLF) but Age of Love - Age of Love is really the first one, first trance one (whole song)

  • THIS IS A CLASSSIC!!

for MORE checkout my oldskool playlists!!!

  • to All who does not like it...you are so stupid........this one of the best trance tracks ever

  • To this day this is my favorite anthem of all time. Thanks for posting.

  • Disco Disco :D:D:D

  • I remember when this was first released and was the last tune heard at Glade Festival 2007 as we left.....and today we are all going back to Glade 2009 and Im sure I will hear it there too....

  • I remember this when I lived in London in 1994 . . .

  • 2007??? it was out wayyyyyyy b4 then lol

  • Rare gem. I was lucky to find it

  • Looong tiime ago. My god that was GREAT times!!!!!

  • Jesus been drug free for years and years now and feel like crying with happiness when I hear choons like this from the past. I think you almost get the same feeling as you did back in the day . Hair stand one end and get a chill. We were lucky to grow up in such times.

  • Man i wish i lived in your time, now its all pop and crappy music

  • Mal ganz ehrlich so ne geile Mucke gibt es heute doch gar net mehr

  • kickin tune...al

  • The track of the tracks that always completly shock the dance floors all over the world.

  • great songs. thanks for the up..

  • OMG What a tune !!!!! these were the days !!!!

  • beam too higher dimensions :-)

  • dynamite !! hehe.

  • TUNE! end of.

  • the minimal techno and tektonik hype electro house shite nowadays sounds so shallow , soulless totaly uninnovative in compare to this ,elevating , stimulating, higher vibrating piece of trance.

music that speaks to the soul and takes the mind to a higher consiousness.

  • Untill Trance becomes a hype as well :). In Belgium in fact it was a bit of a hype with DJ Tiësto. But I don't really know a lot about the Trance scene in Belgium.

  • GEILE ZEIT war das !!! Nicht son Dreck der heute gespielt wird !!!!

  • One of my favorite track ever... still remember the chill down my spine when i've heard it for the first time.... that is pure audio extasy

  • Yep, first real trance track as far as I can remember :)

  • omfg this is defo tha best version of this track tis a pure come up on an e tune espcially the high energy part from 1 min 47 whoaaaaaaaaaaaa pass me the glo stix i wana danceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • lol, most computers I know don't have either the speakers or sound card to reproduce the main drum... everyone I link this song to is like "FUCKING THING HAS NO BEAT" rofl

  • The memories I have when I hear this.....yep! shivers. What an atmosphere when this track was played in the Mayfair. Glasgow. The good old days!! ;)

  • This gives me shivers all down my back! Best track EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually, early examples of trance go back to the early 70s. With Amon Duul II's album TRANCEfer

  • pleeeeeeeease give me more info on Trance tunes from before the 90's I need to know! Thank you :)

  • Amon Duul II - Viva La Tranc, Klaus Schulze - Trancefer, The KLF's early stuff, And The Future Sound of London's pre-90s stuff. Have all been credited with shaping trance before the the 90s

  • I was listening to trance in 1942, i win

  • btw, this is the original version...not a remix =\

  • Don't be sorry, guy, nostalgy's better than all!

Really thanks you for this song what I've searched for a long time XD

  • Ever get that blast from the past that brings a tear to your eye?

This song just done that for me, thanks!

where did all those years go?

    top class tune.

  • I know exactly what you mean. And ditto.

  • ... ditto ... :( all these years went resident in our hearts and minds ....

  • Heard a live mix, long time ago -the DJ let this and another song play completely simultaneously, it was a 9min. orgasm.

  • Really? What was the other song?

  • I finally remeber, after 9 years or so... fucked me blue... daft punk :-D

  • Daft Punk = Awesome :D

The name of the track is 'fucked me blue'?

  • i really do think this is the original i have a oldskool cd compilation this version is on it and it states original version dated 1990 but i dont want to corse arguments.

  • This is a faster version of the Watch out for Stella Remix from 1992 ;)

Search for "Age of Love flying", the first two are the "original" and extended version from the first release

  • If you had been in a hot club in the early 90ies, then you wouldn't dislike a track like this. See girls raising their arms during the chorus and dancing, dancing, dancing and jumping in the omen. I love that time. And... I got the vinyl, hehehehe.

  • IMPERIALE!!!

    BELLISSIMO stò disco!!!

    quanti ricordi mamma mia!!

  • ops wrong comment, thought it was the original version!:P

  • The best version of this epic song..

  • Wrong! This is not the earliest known example of trance music. Far fucking from it.

  • Actually it pretty much is. The original age of love was like the first trance tune.

  • This song is regarded by most to be the instigator of trance music. It is pretty much the first big trance tune.

  • fukin ace

  • One can hear trance from an earlier time. Some producers in Germany were producing sounds with a trance sound. I would consider this 'club' trance, and perhaps the earliest known example of it.

  • in the 70s

  • Wow, really?

Tell me some names so I can look them up :)

  • Tranc-E at his E-xtreme B-E-st!!

  • WOW! this is grade A

  • my god, this is so sweeeeeettttttt, love this, mental man,

  • Yeah age of love is BBE

  • this is Jam & Spoon Remix..

I never heard the original mix..

And there's no Original mix here..(On YT)

  • The closest thing you'll find to the original is actually on Youtube now...ending ZNfBl6FnfYQ

It's the radio edit from the first release of Age of Love...

The Flying Mix, which is really just an extended version and could be considered the true original is also on here...search for it

  • Wenn eins nicht fehlen darf, dann Age of love. Schon seit 15 Jahren das Beste, was alle dj's immer wieder sich vornehmen. Einfach ein Genusssssss

  • oh my god that song is awesome :)

  • KLF`s "what time is love"pure trance 88classic mix " is 1 of the early trance tracks imo !

this track is "rockin" all the same, pure class :)

  • Yeah, there were tracks around before Age Of Love with trance like elements like What Time is Love but in my opinion this is what really laid the foundations for the whole trance genre to be founded upon.

IMO this track influenced the creation of trance.

What Time is Love is great too though....maybe Anthem House???

  • your spot on there "pr0perjob" as 90 was probs the trance genre breakthrough!
